Delilah's

For my money this is simply THE BEST ROCK&ROLL BAR IN THE WORLD, and I come from a city that's famous for having the best ones (Madrid, Spain). If you are into ROCK&ROLL (being it punk, classic rock, garage, ska, etc.) this is a must. They might have the best punk-garage-rock&roll jukebox in the planet, and different DJs who change every day. Apart from the music they always have a special beer for very cheap, and they do all kinds of parties, cool movie screenings etc. Oh, yeah they have hundreds of diff beers and whiskeys and bourbons on the shelf. The staff is unbeatable too and owner is really a JEFE. This is, for me, THE BEST RAWKANDFCKNGROLL BAR ON EARTH!! If the language could be stronger on this site, trust me - I would definitely be using it. If the rating could be no stars, trust me - it would be. Don't waste your time going to this place. A friend of mine had an unfortunate incident and lost consciousness while we were leaving the bar. Since he hadn't even finished 1 beer at the place (and we had already decided to leave) it was in no way alcohol induced. The bouncer and bar tender kept insisting that he leave (which would include walking down a steep and uneven flight of stairs) despite a doctor's orders to have my friend stay put until he could stand. It was obviously a very serious situation and he was quite shaken. They finally backed off only to make fun of my friend and the situation over a loudspeaker system to the ENTIRE bar. Not really a situation to make light of. AND certainly not the reaction an establishment should have if a customer falls ill while visiting. But the selection was very good.\r \r This bar is not listed as a Belgian bar anywhere, but it's pretty close to bar's in other parts of the country that claim to be a Belgian bar. There was a downstairs and upstairs bar. They had Delirium Tremens on tap, and Rocheforte no 10 upstairs (rare find in any bar).\r \r It's sort of a mix of dive bar and a world of beer bar. This is a fun place. They always have a drink on special for $2, and very often it includes import beers or Jack Daniels. The jukebox is without a doubt the best! They also have an old arcade game machine next to the stairs. The people are nice and friendly, but very often the place gets packed with a very young crowd. This place rules. One of the best jukeboxes you'll find (and good entertaining DJs), unpretentious patrons, cool vibe, friendly bartenders and doorpeople, horrific B-movies on the monitor, and top-notch selection of suds and whiskeys. An anomaly in Lincoln Park and well worth the trip. more

Delilah's is a one-of-a-kind Chicago bar. It features an amazing selection of liquors, beers (including lambics and imports), fun music and a very friendly clientele. This really is not a see and be seen bar. It is a bar for the low key alternative cool people who aren't into what you're wearing or how well you know somebody who knows somebody who shampooed Paris Hilton. There are a fair amount of tattoos and piercings, but plenty of others who fit right in with the mix. My favorite bar in the city. And drink prices are very low! Mike Miller{owner of Delilahs) and I have been beer lovers before Jimmy Carter's edict,and the wave of micro beer in the states(Premier Liquor in Tonawanda Saved Us). Maybe it was the whiskey specials ($2) that kept me coming back-- or from leaving upright-- every few weeks. God how I used to love this place. The music is fantastic but the crowd is more of a yuppie Depaul crowd. Blah. I wish they would stay at Lucky Strike or somewhere in Lincoln Park. Ive been here several times and every time the service was excellent. the liquor shelves are heaven also. I'm there before the crowd comes in but I've never felt out of place there. great place for even an over 40 to stop in and sample the selections. Pros: beer, whiskeys, fair prices more

As my title says this is by far the best bar in Chi Town. The dark punk atmosphere make me feel right at home. If you're lucky enough to get a seat at the bar dont move. The juke box is the best I've ever seen. If the first floor is crowded go upstairs and shoot pool. The bar tenders and the crowd has always been friendly. If you want punk go to Delilahs more
