They have a study room in the back if you need to plug in a laptop, which makes this place in my opinion a slightly better place to study than the Cafe Brazil on Central. This Ca...

Great breakfast--my favorite location 3/22/2006

I love this location best of all the Cafe Brazils. It has more character and gets slightly less busy. They have wonderful breakfast--especially the waffles and pancakes (and pancrepes) with fruit, creme freshe and raspberry sauce. Delicious! I hear their coffee is also quite nice. Fresh squeezed OJ as well. Definitely a favorite breakfast place. more

Very authentic Brazilian food 8/28/2005

Cafe Brazil is the most authentic Brazilian cuisine that I have ever had. Very tasty food and wonderful for meat lovers. The prices are good and its a fun and colorful place. If you miss the taste of Brazil, I would definately make a visit to this place. You won't be sorry and you will feel back in the native land in no time. more

Cafe Brazil 7/30/2005

A terrific place to go to. I prefer to go around 1 am (open 24 hours) when the crowd is there. It is normally a college crowd (SMU) but it is still nice and not rowdy at all. The servers really work hard considering all the people they have in each section to tend to. Great menu selection. I personally recommend going their for a slice of pie (try the original cheesecake) and a steamer. I love the vanilla and the hazelnut. I am not a coffee drinker, but these are a great alternative if you are not into the coffee bar they have there as well. Good prices, nice outdoor dining area with torches. very cute, not fancy at all. It is funny, no busy how they are, I never see people standing in lines. They get you in and seated right away. more

Breakfast with an international flare 7/27/2005

Over the last fourteen years the Café Brazil has become a Dallas institution. Since opening its first store in the Lakewood area in 1991, it has grown to six locations in the Dallas area. What sets the Café Brazil apart is its diverse menu, scrumptious food, and relaxing atmosphere. They are known especially for their breakfast menu which includes all manner of omelets and crepes all served with Brazil’s trademark rosemary potatoes or a fruit bowl. The coffee bar is another popular selection. They serve six different blends at any one time, and you can get a bottomless cup for $2.39. Although the menu is the same at each location, the decor and atmosphere changes depending on where you go. Café Brazil in the university district is open 24/7 and attracts the late night crowds, and during the school year fills up with SMU students snacking and doing homework. The Deep Elum location is a popular place to dry out before heading home after a night of bar hopping. This location also feature free high-speed wireless Internet. The Cedar Springs location is especially popular for weekend brunch. If you are looking for the best breakfast value in town or trying to find a late-night alcohol-free hangout, then try one of the six Café Brazil locations.
