This was our family restaurant that we used to go every other week, up until last year. Since our teenager boy start asking to try different restaurants/taste, we were not at Buca for a year or may be a little longer. Last night, we decided to have a nostalgic dinner and stopped by Buca. This was, unfortunately, an unpleasant reunion. Our receptionist was nice and tried to locate us in a peaceful place but his manager (!) insisted in a highly noisy room that we had to change, eventually. On our way to our table, we were almost run over by a waitress and she didn't seem like she cared at all. All seemed the same from outside but almost any item in the menu, that we used to love, has changed. Shockingly different ceasar salad (no more anchovies), highly greasy pizza, OK spaghetti, some ordinary bread to start munching with no olive oil on the table. Their house Chianti, however, was as tasty as we remember. I was adequately curious to ask whether the management has changed and sure enough, the ownership have changed. I hope they can restore their old ambiance and taste but we will be hesitant to try again for a while - but remember old days' Buca that we had so many lovely memories? ?
Pros: very family oriented
Cons: sometimes too loud to carry a conversation
