Worst

Cooking is not just adding condiment. Need to understanding balance of them. Just too much salt in all dishes. Pros: service Cons: taste and price

good food, but there's better 12/10/2002

Bluepointe is a posh restaurant that doesn't quite deliver in its service and cuisine. I had a lobster soup that, while tasty, was devoid of lobster. The salmon was very good, I must admit, but it was a little ruined byut he service. Our waiter spoke so little english that there was much worry about him getting our order right. Low value, rude service. 12/2/2002

Had a 6pm reservation and was rushed through my ""7- course"" tasters menu with zero time between courses and even after requesting time to digest before dessert, still rushed through coffee and then to make matters worse, was requested by my server for my parking stub so that my car could be brought up - all while still eating my dessert. This place is not worth the $'s, and they want you in and out. Period. Pros: decor, location Cons: service, service, service more

Spare me! 9/12/2002

Not one to dwell on a negative experience, I can't let this pass. Were seated 1 hr after reservation time. Service was ""fair at best"" 2 of twelve meals were ready to serve after the rest of our party had eaten. Proceeded to tip the waiter 13% for tip in which he made a scene with the other servers next to our table.........get a clue Blupointe. Average at Best!!! more

Blue Me Away 9/11/2002

BluePointe is consistently the best restaurant in Atlanta and anybody who does not get this simply isn't qualified to judge restaurants. The food is always outstanding and the presentation is imaginative. The servers are extremely attentive - almost overly so. While service make take a while, and while I've had to wait quite a while even with reservations, the managers are quite generous with comps to make up for any inconvenience. I would wait 3 hours for a bite of their amazing sushi. Whenever I have clients or friends in town, I do not hesitate to send them to BluePointe because I know they will not be disappointed. Plus, the people-watching can't be beat! Pros: atmosphere, imagination, great for groups Cons: long wait for tables, cost more

A special place for a special person 9/2/2002

I first took my girlfriend to Blue Point restaurant, the food was excelent and so was the service. Since that day things just went right, I got engaged and married later on that same women. Anyway, It is a really one of my best dining places. A special place for a special person. more

The other reviews are TRUE 9/2/2002

We went to BluePointe 8/30/02 with another couple for dinner. The atmosphere was nice, however they could not even get our initial drink order correct. The food was good, however the service was poor. They also served us the wrong entree's. It is not a privilage to be served by you and I am not begging to pay $300 for dinner. If you are looking for a great alternative, try the Horseradish Grill. Pros: Taste of Food, Atmosphere Cons: Service more

Good Food So So Service 8/14/2002

I have been here several times and have always enjoyed the sushi- it is fresh and tasty. However, I do have to agree that the service needs improvement. Last week we went for a special occasion and decided to have a nice bottle of wine, the waitress could not make a single recommendation and did not know how to open or serve the bottle we finally decided on. Before we were even finished with dessert the manager was putting a ""Reserved"" sign on our table trying to rush us out...pretty rude considering our bill was over $400!! Hip, sophisticated food,corporate appeal 7/24/2002

Fabulous food, but only worth the prices published at lunch. Evenings, the drinks and food costs become preposterous. Fish is fantastic - never over-cooked. Sushi rolls. Eclectic ambiance wannabe with businessmen clientele. Pros: Food, Decoration Cons: Price more

Review of BluePointe's bar 5/13/2002

I will say up-front that I have never dined at BluePointe--this rating is of the bar scene. My fiance and I went one night for a martini party, and had just about the worst time we've ever had out in Atlanta. The crowd couldn't have been more pretentious. You're drinking an apple martini--get over yourself. I was completely ignored by the bartender as he took the orders of EVERYONE around me, until I finally yelled at him. I will never, ever go back, and if I hear of someone talking about going, I will strongly advise them against it. more
