A little pricey but sooo delicious that my best friend and I split an appetizer or order tortilla soup if we are short on cash. If I miss a Friday night I start to have withdraws. I'm not a fan of quesedillas but cant get enough of Blue Mesa's caramelized onion quesedillas or avocado, pesto and sun dried tomato quesedillas. Even if we don't get food, the margaritas made by Maria are smooth and enlightening. The chips are a variety of fried sweet potatoes, blue and yellow corn with smoked or regular salsa... my mouth is watering! more

Blue Mesa...Bad Day... 4/15/2006

We booked the Blue Mesa Grill for our baby shower last year. We wanted to have it there because we thought that they would have great food and a good atmosphere for our guests. However, on the day of our baby shower...we arrived and nothing was done. They were running late and our guests had to wait in the cramped hallway until the room was ready. Then, the room was so hot that everyone was sweating while they were trying to enjoy lunch (especially me, being nine months pregnant). For the hundreds of dollars we paid, it was overrated. more

Darn good Mexican 3/23/2006

The Blue Mesa is located in the University Park Shopping Center in Fort Worth. Great lunch specials - try the Smoked Chicken Enchiladas. They start you off with a basket of fresh corn chips AND as a bonus, sweet potato chips! These are the BEST! And they always serve two salsas - a traditional tomato one and a smoked chipotle one that I absolutely could eat with a spoon. For happy hours, they have great drink specials and a quesadilla bar. YUMMY! more

love the spa cuisine! 8/28/2005

The chicken and spinach spa enchiladas are so good you dont even realize you're eating healthy! They come with roasted sweet potatos and asparagus. Also love the sweet potato chips and the fire roasted salsa. Blue Mesa is something different than the same old same old tex mex restaurants. Try the queso too! YUM! This is a great place for a nicer tex mex experience than the standard. The bar and happy hour are great too! more

Great chips! 8/25/2005

I was impressed with Blue Mesa. The food was great and so was the atmosphere! I love the sweet potatoe chips and salsa -- they are a good change from the normal chips served at Mexican restaurants! The food is above quality for most Mexican restaurants and we had everything served to us by a very friendly and prompt waiter! If you are looking for really good Mexican food - this is the place to go! more

Great Happy Hour 8/17/2005

This is probably my favorite place to go for happy hour after work. From 4-6pm, they offer a free quesadilla and nacho bar for all those who buy drinks. They have happy hour drink prices from 4-7pm Monday through Friday as well. If you enjoy a nice margarita, you have to try their speciality, the blue margarita. Strong, smooth and good tasting. Excellent food and atmosphere 7/10/2005

When it came time to have our son's rehearsal dinner, we chose Blue Mesa Grill because we love the food and atmosphere. We were not disappointed. The sweet potato chips and salsa are the best ever. It was a wonderful evening and they did an outstanding job on the buffet. I highly recommend this energetic and fun place to dine. more
