Large but inviting store in a great location. There is a lot of parking and there are many other stores nearby. The selection is large here but the prices are a tad bit too high...

nothing to buy and overpriced 5/3/2006

It's inside the north campus commons so all the students will pas sby. However, I don't think they have make very good use of this space. The only thing they sell useful there is pop and snacks, which are overpriced. Other stuff, books or stationary are way overpriced and students mostly would get elsewhere. I think they should have a wider selection of books there so students do not just go to borders to shop, they could shop here where it's convenience for them! more

convenient, but expensive 11/5/2005

This bookstore is right inside the University of Michigan. It is convenient if you want to buy some stationaries. The price is higher than Staples, Officemax though. They sell some clothes with school logo, too. But they are more expensive, too. They also sell textbooks and provide services for buying back used textbooks. more

Convenient location but expensive 9/5/2005

You can buy most of the textbooks here and the location is right at Peirpont Commons. It's convenient if you need something urgent. However, the price is a little expensive than Staples and Officemax. If you do have time, try other stores to save some moeny. The store usually closes early. So if you wanna buy something after 5pm, it won't be available. more

Lovely 6/9/2005

Large but inviting store in a great location. There is a lot of parking and there are many other stores nearby. The selection is large here but the prices are a tad bit too high. PROS: Large and inviting CONS: pricey more

wonderful look & mood 6/3/2005

I love this Barnes & Noble because its in a great little plaza with Whole Foods, so I can get my groceries and check out some books in the same visit. The inside is always perfectly clean, organized, and buzzing with employees. Even though they have never asked me if I needed help, I can always spot one when I turn my head. I love the quiet, mellow atmosphere--especially when I see people sitting around and reading. Looove the little coffee area, it's so neat! I always go here and will continue to do so! more

Family Friendly Environment 4/15/2005

This location seems to have an extra large helping of young professionals and college age students lingering around due to it's proximity to the University, but still, it's a favorite of ours. Particularly the children's section. Not only does Barnes and Noble offer a weekly children's hour, but there are books and toys for young kids to interact with. That's a nice plus. The parking is a bit difficult in the whole shopping center, but if you go on off-hours (mid-morning, late-afternoon), you shouldn't have any problems. more
