Am wondering if anyone can comment on manicures and/or pedicures here? Is it a good place? I'm interested in checking it out... Pros: Sounds good Cons: What's the rating o...

My manicure looks great, but it wasn't worth the chilly demeanor of the manicurist or the difficulties caused by their scheduling problems. I was made to wait over 15 minutes pa...

I found Bruno 4/25/2006

So, after searching through many different salons and stylist throughout seattle, and them leaving to change their profession, i was once again in search of a new stylist. My friend decided to sign us up and she had Josh (whom she said she loves and will start going to him only), and i have bruno. like one other commentor mentioned, i was unsure about the name bruno. but after meeting with him, working with him, i realized i'm settled and will no longer be in search of new stylist -- i found bruno. not only is he unique, but he's cute, does great cuts and colors, and knows how to truly use his hands in washing the hair. i highly recommend Aria. Can't wait to try out their items on their menus as well. more

Knowledgeable staff 4/14/2006

I haven't had a chance to get my hair done at the salon yet, but I did have the opportunity to stop in to get some hair products for my girlfriend. I had absolutely no idea what exactly I was looking for other than that I was supposed to get her texturizer. The receptionist whose name I can't remember was extremely helpful and informative. The product I ended up purchasing is called Osis Thrill. So far she loves it. We plan on stopping back in soon for cuts, thanks again. Pros: Knowledgeable staff, Good Products Cons: none! more

Aria...why not?! 4/7/2006

First of all the receptionists are hot, the cuts are great, and I loved my massage it was like being caressed by an angel! To sum it all up in one word...breathtaking. Pros: hot ladies Cons: large bathrooms more

Bruno is great...front desk SUCKS!!! 4/6/2006

The front desk (with one excellent exception) are unreliable at best. Today is the third and last time I have had complications with scheduling for an appointment. One time the front desk "didn't see" my name in the book which meant I wasn't scheduled and had to reschedule. It's not unusual for the front desk to call me and try to reschedule me for whatever reason. But the worst was today when I showed up for an appointment and they just looked at me and said, "opps you didn't get my message did you." Apparently the frontdesk had tried to call my home 1 hour and 30 minutes before my appointment to cancel due to Bruno being ill. I understand everyone has sick days but I would expect to have a little more notice than this...especially when I am paying $50 for a quick men's haircut! more

I love Aria 4/6/2006

Rebekah Dunbar made my first waxing experience surprisenly unpainful. She was quick, friendly and the conversation distracted me from the hair removal process. I would definitely recommend her for waxing and facials and will be going back to her for sure. And for anyone scared to try getting a brazilian wax, she is very experienced and actually specializes in them. I have heard nothing but good things from people who have gone to her, so no need to be worried! Pros: friendly staff, fair prices, good atmosphere Cons: street parking more

too cool for school 3/30/2006

I really liked the haircut that Bianca gave .. but she styled in a manner without even asking me that it just looked awful.. and her staff laughed it .. the swarmy female receptionist was apparently too "cool" to be bothered with me .. she never greated me or looked me in the eye.... in a city where there are so many great salons .. why would I ever return just to be treated so poorly.... what a shame. Just because you are in Capital Hill does not give you a free ticket to be rude. Pros: Hair cut Cons: Poor customer service, Poor attitude more

Josh is great! 3/7/2006

I needed a talented professional for my hair because I have wavy/curly hair that does what it wants mostly so on the other recommendations here I gave Aria a try. They hooked me up with Josh, and what a great stylist he is. He's good to explain what he's doing and how it will work, he's very friendly, no attitude and knows what he's doing. Definitely a great stylist to go to. I'm a convinced client :) Pros: Competent, Friendly, Well-priced Cons: Nothing more

Aria Salon is Awesome 1/20/2006

Bianca is a top rate salon entrepreneur. Her first thought is of her customer's and her salon is fresh and always a fun place to be. Bianca has cut my hair for 10 years now and I always get compliments on my haircuts. The next treat for myself will be a facial with Holly. Holly does what not many facialists do...digs deep for those stubborn blackheads many of us are afraid to do ourselves. It may sting a little but clean pores are a must living in the city. Pros: Spa, Parking, Easy Access Cons: Zip, Nada, Nuttin more

Best Facial Ever Guys! 1/19/2006

Well, let me tell you something, this place rocks! It's totally welcoming to girls like me who are shy about my skin and a little scared of the whole extraction process but this was exactly what I needed, and the esthician was totally cool and made me feel right at home! I am sooooo glad i went to Aria because now my skin looks and feels radiant and I feel like a million bucks! (Without paying a fortune to boot!!!) Pros: affordable, comfortable, professional more

Rebekah Dunbar 1/19/2006

I have been a client of Rebekah's for the past year, and she is the best "waxer" I have been to in Seattle. Not only is she fast, because no one wants to stretch out a painful experience, she is good at what she does, and takes care to minimize discomfort, which is a very big deal to me. I would recommend her over everyone else I have been to in this city, and am sure that as long as she is around, I will have no need to look for someone else to do the job. more

Facial by Holly 1/19/2006

My experience with Aria Salon was great. I recieved a wonderful facial by a cute girl named Holly. The facial was outstanding. I highly recommend booking an appointment. more

BEST WAX EVER!!! 1/19/2006

I always see Holly for my facials and nails, but she was out of town and I saw rebekah for a leg wax and a bikini wax, and she talked me into getting a brazilian, one thing that I have always been a little bit afraid of, but she was so fast I hardly knew that all of my hair had been removed! I will DEFINATLEY keep her as my waxing girl! Next on the list, Haircut!!!! I love this place! Pros: easy to get to , excellent service!, cool people Cons: parking more

Rebekah at Aria!!!! 1/18/2006

I've been getting waxed by Rebekah for about a year now and she is not only quick and professional but makes me feel extremely comfortable and makes me laugh. Not many can not only make you feel comfortable but make you laugh while you're getting your hair ripped out of your body. Plus her brazilians are only $50! Pros: THE BEST!! more

thanks Rebekah!! 1/17/2006

I just tried an esthetician at Aria that I was very happy with: Rebekah Dunbar. Her facial was very gentle yet thorough, and the products she used smelled divine. She also gave me a great eyebrow wax that hurt surprisingly less than I thought it would. Highly recommended, I was very satisfied with the service I received and the resulting appearance of my skin!! thanks! more

I can only speak about the facial... 1/15/2006

...which was less-than-stellar. The facial I received at Aria was, much to my regret, one of the worst I've ever gotten. The esthetician was way too aggressive with the extractions. Way. Too. Aggressive. I'm not looking to sleep through my skin treatments, but I was in pain almost the entire time. And to make it worse: I'm still red and blotchy days later. Pros: Nice salon Cons: Poor treatment more

awsome staff 11/24/2005

I have seen Bianca for the past year or so now for my cut and color, and she is beyond words amazing. I have seen Holly for a facial and a couple pedicures and she is also wonderful. The skin care products are great, and I have also started to use the same brand (Uspa) for my hair too. I LOVE this place. I highly recommend that you see these two lovely ladies. You will be in for some fun times and great gossip. more

HOLLY BYERLEY ROCKS! 9/8/2005

I have been a client of Holly's for two years now and my skin has never looked so good.Having spent way too much time in the sun in my youth hasn't helped but Holly has me looking fresh and younger in no time at all.Her facials are amazing and WELL worth the money. If you want the best,Holly is your girl. Also her manicures last forever! What are you waiting for?Call the salon!!! Pros: reasonable, easy parking, excellent facial/mass Cons: few more

Aria Rocks!!! 8/24/2005

I have been a client of Aria's for 5 plus years now. Bianca is a future forward stylist. She is detailed and FAST! Always tons of compliments and my cuts and colors. more

Very disappointed 7/14/2005

In 2001 I had an experience so bad that I still feel it's worth sharing. I have dark brown hair, and had hoped to go light blond. Nearly 4 hours later, some parts of my hair were orange, some were yellow, and others the white color I'd hoped for. It looked awful... I could have done a better job buying a manic panic bleach kit for $10 and doing it in the bathroom myself. They charged me $200 for the privilege of a burned, painful head and hair that looked like crap. I didn't attend a salon for several years after that experience, and have returned to doing all my bleaching/dying myself. Pros: nice appearance Cons: poor service, expensive more

superb experience 7/6/2005

I recently moved to Seattle from Los Angeles and found a gem of a salon in Aria. I made an appointment for a cut and partial foil with Bianca, and a manicure, pedicure, and facial with Holly. Both were fantastic. Bianca gave me a great edgy, textured cut which was perfectly accented by bold, assymetrical color. It was just like the picture I had brought in! Next I was off to Holly, who made my toes and hands look and feel like a million bucks. I swear, my feet have never been so soft. Also, the foot massage during the pedicure was to die for. The facial was thorough and yet gentle, perfect for my sensitive skin! I would highly reccommend both Holly and Bianca to anyone who wants to feel fantastic at a reasonable price. Pros: skilled stylists, relaxing atmosphere, reasonable prices Cons: limited parking more

  • In Short
Vaulted ceilings, cement floors; natural light pours in through two walls of windows--the space is sophisticated and a little edgy, fitting seamlessly into the neighborhood. Inside the salon, hair is bleached, dyed and snipped by hip stylists who chat with clients about work, dating and restaurant recommendations. In contrast, the hidden spa upstairs offers homespun relaxation--it's tranquil without a hint of formality. Services include hair cuts, coloring, perms, massages, facials, manicures, waxing and tinting.
