Terrible experience ordering out of state with the store and their delivery company. Ordered $$$ furniture, came damaged twice ! Took 4 months, dozens of a calls and emails. NO...

Worst experience I have ever had buying furniture. They happily take the money and then very happily don't deliver. They have multiple stories and then stop responding. Could not even provide the name of the delivery company they used. BECAUSE THEY NEVER DELIVER. Walter, Andre and Joyce cannot be trusted !!!! more

Best Contemporary Furniture for the dollar on the East Coast 11/22/2010

I have been a customer for over 6-7 years now have many different pieces I bought from them and would recommend them unhesitatingly to any one looking for contemporary furniture. The salespeople are knowledgeable, courteous and helpful. Their inventory is truly amazing and we have experienced nothing but the highest level of professionalism in all our dealings with them. We are moving out of state with a new job and will really miss shopping here. But when I am ready for my next major purchase I would definitely consider visiting them again, yes even from Northern Ohio. :) more

Excellent furniture and service 3/1/2010

We've made several purchases from Ambiente over the last year. Julia is very knowledgeable. They often sell pieces off the floor if you are really in a hurry and have a quick ship program for many items. Their showroom itself is worth seeing and we have found their service to be excellent. Pros: Beautiful showroom and furniture, excellent service Cons: none more

True about the website. We used to shop at Ambiente some time ago, but now we relocated and visit it only when we are in Raleigh. We keep getting e-mails from them every week or so. It looks like now we can order furniture from them any time. more

Your website made your store 15 miles closer to me. 1/14/2009

They are doing a great job changing all the time. It was pretty boring to look at their web site though, it used to be the same all the time for the last couple of years since I started to shop there. But it looks like they changed that as well. I absolutely love it. And it is very helpful too. Know what to expect before going to the store. If you have any doubts about Ambiente check out their web site and you will like the products they have to offer. Great job guys, the change I have been waiting for. It was pretty boring to look at their web site though, it used to be the same all the time for the last couple of years since I started to shop there. But it looks like they changed that as well. I absolutely love it. And it is very helpful too. Know what to expect before going to the store. I have been trying to find the right dining set for a long time. I visited every furniture store in the area. I stopped by Ambiente twice. On my first visit, I was given the attention I needed but was left alone to look around without pressure. I ended up going back weeks later and Julia remembered me and was extremely helpful with her opinions, but not once pressured me.I ended up getting the table and chairs during a floor sample sale and saved a LOT of money and got the most exceptional pieces. Julia was so much fun to work with. What could have been a very stressful day turned into a lot of fun! I reccommend ANYONE in town take a trip to this store. I was told that they keep changing out the windows and get new items all the time. I can't wait to go visit again! Pros: staff, selection more

As a man of business, I understand why people do not like to wait for large purchases. I don't mind waiting for something if I know it will be worth it. I placed an order which was estimated to arrive within 3 to 4 months. I received my order shortly thereafter, but was updated every step of the way. My sales person knew her products inside and out and answered every question I had with no problem. I thought she was the owner! I was updated when my order shipped and arrived, and though it ran a bit late, was compensated for the trouble. Customer service is very important to me and my business, and is definately a priority for this company as well. I felt like my business mattered, instead of feeling like just a customer. Yes, they have a very good choice of contemporary furniture at a fair price, however be sure to confirm when you will actually receive your order. We placed an order in the middle of April (2008) and it is almost September and we still have not received our furniture. This is ridiculous. This store has by far the best selection of modern furniture in the state. Their pricing is very fair and customer service is great. If you want good quality furniture and don't want to be over charged then you need to shop here. Pros: selection and price Cons: very busy on weekends more

I was so pleased with the new furniture I purchased here, im not really sure why somebody posted about bad service they helped me in every possible way imaginable with my design. Worst customer service ever 11/24/2006

Buyers be aware!!! Especially for first time buyers, i have traveled north and south on the east coast for contemporary furnitures, this is the ONLY place that doesn't do returns. And guess what? they don't tell you if one item is returnable or not. Also make sure you check your receipt. Ask questions if anything on the receipt doesn't look familiar to you.
