Excellent Prawns, BAD SERVICE 10/28/2010

A friend of mine and I went last Thursday to their advertised all you can eat prawns for $14.99. The prawns were cooked to perfection and were delicious. Its the poor service we received directed by the management of Anthony's that irritated us. Sure they are going to lose some money on an all you can eat affair, but what transpired left a bad taste in our mouths. According to our waiter, the Prawns are to be delivered in decreasing amounts at about 10 minute intervals. When two measly Prawns arrived at our table we had to ask what was up? Our waiter discretely told us that it was at the direction of management to provide two prawns at a time within about 10-15 minute intervals. We finally gave up the fight and decided to post our grievance online more

About what I expected 1/1/2008

For a $7 basket of fish and chips, Anthony's Fish Bar lived up to expectations. The fries were very good, but the fish seemed a bit greasier than I expected. While the cod was average, I really enjoyed the fried salmon. The flavor of the fish really made it through the breading and frying, and made for a good inexpensive lunch. Pros: Inexpensive and convenient Cons: A tad greasy, but still good more

Family Tradition 5/13/2005

Whenever we arrive Seattle, my family meets for our first and last dinner at Bell Street Diner. The menu is always freshly updated with the seasons catch and the views are unbeatable for the price range. You not only get alot of food but great views for the cost. We have always had a window booth where we are able to view the city lights or the mountains. I don't believe there is a bad view in the entire diner. Thank you for the knowledgeable staff. more

BAD service 6/1/2004

I usually go to the Anthony's Homeport in Des Moines, but wanted to see the Bell St Diner since we were downtown. Great views but the service staff was rude pretty much from when we walked in the door. Hostess barely said a word to us and looked hassled that we even put our names on the waiting list. The bartender was surly (while we waited in the bar for our table) and out waiter seemed too concerned with a larger party next to us than waiting on our table. The food was "ok".. much better in the Des Moines location. I will not be going back there and have advised friends to stay away as well. One word can sum up the service "SNOBBISH". Pros: View more

I've been here several times and have never had a bad experience. It's nice to find a place where you can get fresh seafood without breaking the bank. I love their crabcakes--they are filled with fresh crab and hardly any filler--and their drinks are yummy, too. And kids will find something they like on the menu, too. So when your aunt from Des Moines comes to visit and can't afford to pay $30 an entree but wants seafood, it's perfect. Pros: inexpensive, varied menu choices, fresh seafood Cons: ambience, parking more
