Whipple Service Champions

I will never use Whipple again! After having three appointments canceled and rescheduled the ?technician? finally came to do my furnace tune up. He then convinced me that he couldn?t do the job due to my ducts being extremely dirty and informed me that many of the duct lines where damaged and needed repair. So, reluctantly I agreed to this extra work (since my house is really old-it could hurt to upgrade a few things, but probably not necessary). Called to schedule and the ignorant receptionist claimed to understand and booked the job, a week later the same ?technician? showed up and asked me what needed to be done. Really, how stupid are you??? The work you recommended is what needs to be done. Well he then reschedules me again and shows up with the ?installation manager? who confirms the same thing. Once again, I schedule to have the ducts clean and the duct lines repaired. Finally, the day comes and the duct cleaners come and the dumb ass technician scheduled it for the wrong day. These people are truly idiots. Don?t ever use them, even if you have the ?OOPS we mess up cash" more

They always tell you the cost before they start so you know what your getting into. When they came last Friday, the heating man even talked to my husband over the phone to assure that we would all be satisfied with the price (their policy is 100% satisfied or you don't have to pay). These guys really know what they are doing. They've never ceased to impress, and so far I'm 100% satisfied with all of the business I've done with them! more

I needed to replace my toilet and I found a coupon for Whipple in the paper so I gave them a call. I needed them to be out soon because my current toilet was broken. They were able to make it out for me that day and I didn't have to pay extra. I was very impressed with that. But in stead, I got an amazing deal on a great toilet! its even one of the long bowled ones. I was very pleased with the quality of service I got from them. After telling me about all the other things in my house that had to be replaced and brought up to code I had to remind them that I had a leak that I needed fixed and that is why I called them. They made the necessary updates and ""fixed"" the leak. I found out after they left that the leak was not fixed. I had to go through Thanksgiving without water because the leak was not fixed and they couldnt send anyone out to actually fix it. They came back two more times to find and fix the leak. Both times they assured me that they had fixed my problem. Both times they were wrong. Following the third attempt to find and fix the leak when I called back to tell them I still had the same problem I was informed they would come back in two days to work on it again. I told the dispatcher I would like to speak with a manager and I was able to leave a message for one. I am still waiting to hear back from them. I finally had to cut a hole in my wall and find the leak and problem and fix it myself. I only wish I had done this in the first time and saved myself $5000.00. I’ve used Whipple on occasion throughout the years for one thing or another. Unclogging drains ($200/pop), annual furnace tune-ups (varies, but around $100 with coupon), etc. Recently, I had an issue with my furnace. Whipple came out to take a look, and sure enough, it was supposedly leaking carbon monoxide into my house. The guy was friendly and all, but of course laid on the guilt that I was putting my family’s life in danger. The diagnosis: a new furnace (of course!). And the good news was, they had one in stock and could install it the next day! I ended up getting a second opinion and sure enough, I did not need a new furnace. Just a repair. The other place (not going to name names because I don’t want it to sound like I work for someone else) charged me about $200 and that was that. No new $3,000 furnace needed. Do yourself a favor an avoid Whipple. And just to be safe, count your fingers after shaking hands with them. more

I've had Whipple come to my house several times. One thing I've always been impressed with is that whenever I have them fix a problem for me, they'll tell me the price before they do any work. If I don't like the price, I can send them on their way. Some other companies that i've used have been really scary people. My wife has even called me home from work because she was afraid. But with Whipple, we've always had classy clean cut looking service men come out. I'd recommend this company to anyone. Their prices may be a little higher than some others, but you get better service, better service guys, and they guarantee their work and will fix it for free if it breaks down again. I'd rather pay a little extra and feel more at ease. more
