Best

The best Dim Sum I have had. It was as great as Dim Dum at the Sheraton Towers & Hotel in Hong Kong. The food was fresh and delicious. Wait for an upstairs seat as downstairs look...

Worst

Way Too Expensive! I have talked to Chinese people about this place and they avoid this restaurant because of price and also not authentic. I can have good inexpensive Dim Sum in ...

Good dim-sum 6/25/2002

Good dim-sum, and good service. We arrived shortly before noon, and before the crowds. That probably factored into the better experience. The decor was not too bad either. The noise level was a bit high, especially once the place packed in. Overall, they have a good variety of dim-sum for a fair to slightly high price. Pros: Good variety, Good service Cons: Noise level more

Food is OK. Service lacks. 6/25/2002

We went for dim sum last weekend after reading many good reviews. We were disappointed. Wait was long on Saturaday morning. Dim Sum was ok. Service was ... Was there any service at all?? I can't understand why people are willing to stand in line. Price was steep, food overrated, service was lacking. There are plenty of good Dim Sum places around town. My personal favorite is Harbor Village in Embarcadero. More authentic and much better quality Dim Sum. Plus you get more efficient and better service. This place is definitely one of the most overrated restaurants in the city. more

THE OWNER DOESN'T DESERVE TO BE IN BIZ 6/24/2002

STAY AWAY! We spent a total of 600+ for lunch for 30 ppl.At the end, the waitress asked if we want deserts. We thought it was included(most Chinese rest. give deserts free for large parties) but when the bill came it wasn't. The waiters tried to take off the charge but the owner didn't agree.Even they said the owner is known to be very stingy. We paid the bill with credit card and leave 15% CASH for the waiters. As we were leaving, the owner's wife angrily stared at us and loudly scolded us in english saying we are cheap people not leaving any tips for the waiters. Apparently she saw the credit card receipt without the tips. What kind of owner will do this to ANY customer? IMO they don't deserve to be in business. Food was overpriced and very greasy. Owners rude and stingy. Take your business elsewhere. more

Great dim sum 5/20/2002

People complain that the food here is overrated, or that it's not worth the typically long wait ... but I think it's great. You don't go for the decor (ordinary-to-blah) or the service (inattentive). You go for the dim sum. I haven't tried the other dishes, because I'm fascinated by their dim sum menu (and, OK, I admit I like that you can just decide what you want based on the pictures). Try picking an off-peak time so that you don't have to wonder whether the food is going to measure up to the wait. more
