After spending a couple of hours on City Search to find a new nice restaurant for my wife and I to visit, I, with some trepidation, selected Tango. We are from the East side of the mountains and love our food experiences in Seattle. We arrived late for our 8:00 reservation, dripping wet, after our Taxi driver dropped us off six blocks away. Some of the reviews claimed poor hostessing and service, yet everybody was absolutely wonderful to us. We were seated immediately and got a drink right away. Our waiter (Sennen) was very knowledgeable and picked our menu for us and was spot on. We had a tough start to our night, but it ended so well we are coming back in February with eight of our best friends to relive a wonderful experience. The Diablo 10/5/2005

If you don't try anything else go there for dessert and order the Diablo. Its amazing! Service was great, the waiter was very helpful offering food and wine suggestions through out our meal! Pros: Amazing Dessert, Good service, tapas more

Outstanding Tango 3/15/2005

For my birthday, I went with seven other people to have dinner at Tango. I had never been before and after reading some of the reviews on citysearch, I was a little nervous. The last thing that I wanted to deal with was bad service. Let me just say that Tango was outstanding. We had excellent service from the front door and throughout the night. Our waiter, Sennen, was excellent with his service and with his recommendations. We had our own private room (for no extra cost) and every dish was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend Tango for anyone who is open to new types of dishes and is willing to spend a little bit extra. It wasn't a cheap dinner by any means, but I will definitely be visiting Tango frequently. Pros: Private Room, Great Dishes Cons: Parking more

Seated promptly. Sennen D. amazing host with flawful choices of menu and wine. Ahi tuna appetizer (special ceviche) will melt in your mouth. The Mixta Paella deserves a standing ovation! Well worth the price! (This is my first ever review of a restaurant in Seattle (have lived here for 5 years) I felt compelled to write of my experience! Yes! not so happy-hour 2/2/2005

A large group of us went to happy hour there, and our service was horrible! Not only did it take forever to get our drinks and tapas, but when the bill came and we asked to have it split, our waiter complained about how much of a hassle it was to split! Very bad customer service, which is sad because the food and Mojitos seemed pretty good. I would not go back again for happy hour. Pros: mojitos, food Cons: customer service more

In October, we contacted Tango on short notice to see about the possibility of having a dinner there for over 20 people who were attending a national meeting nearby. The owner was extremely gracious in accommodating us, creating a prix fixe menu and a plan for a happy hour to precede dinner. She developed a plan that allowed for separate checks and arranged for seating that allowed all 22 people to be able to see one another and converse freely. The bartender was skilled, friendly, and fun- creating a great happy hour atmosphere. The kitchen and servers quickly responded to a few last minute changes in our group's plan and needs, and didn't miss a beat. All agreed the food was fabulous- several people returned there for late night happy hour and dinner the following night! Strongly recommend! Pros: Excellent Food, Great Service, Intimate more

I recently visited Tango to try their happy hour. I had a GREAT time! The food was creative and delicious. Even happy hour standards like quesadillas were taken up (no.. I will not say "notch", I have my self respect) to another level with tender and interestingly sesoned hunks of pulled pork. The chicken skewers were not overly exciting, but the house made flatbread and chimichurri (parsley mint pesto) sauce that accompanied them was. Best of all was the bartender Frank, in addition to the delicious coctails he made, (a citrusy sevillano? and a solid mojito) his droll asides and deadpan humor had me busting a gut! He also very knowlegeably guided me and my companion through some of the more unusual menu items they serve there. I'm going back to try their paella (I think there were 6 different kinds - all served family style) as soon as possible. Pros: Creative, Delicious Cons: , sorta pricey more

We had reservations for 7:30 and were finally seatted at 8:30. Hostess seemed ambivalent. The bar was packed so there was no place to sit while waiting. The restaurant is extremely loud, difficult to have a conversation. Tables very close together, and waitstaff kept bumping into one of our party's chair. our waitress hardly said a word, but given the noise level I don't blame her.
