These guys are fantastic, professional, hard-working and friendly. Their rates are the most reasonable that we could find in the area!\r \r They were on time, prepared for the job, unbelievably efficient and did not complain about the ridiculous amount of heavy books that we have. \r \r They had us completely loaded from our crammed 2 bedroom apartment in 2.5 hours and had us moved into the new home after a 2 hour drive in only a little over an hour. \r \r I would definitely use them again and wish to give them my highest recommendation. \r \r If you read this review, don't shop any further for another moving company!!\r more

CAUTION! PLEASE AVOID. \r I wanted to apprise everyone of a startling negative experience with this company. I wish there was a way of giving ""0"" stars.\r \r I hired Superior Moving to move me out of my 1BR apt in Germantown. Prior to this move, the owner, I ""think"" his name was Marc, put all his charm on over the phone, as follows: He gave me a price, but immediately afterwards, asserted, ""Oh but I think I can even beat that -- let's see if we can beat that price!"" Important that I be clear -- I was fine with the price. He made this assertion voluntarily. In retrospect, I see now this was part of his sell. So I hired the company for the job.\r \r Fast forward to my moving day. Two men arrived and switched / INCREASED the price on me! Please note I am single, and I was alone the day of my move. So, maybe I was seen an easy target? Whatever. When I attempted to stand up for myself, they phoned the boss / owner who told them AND I QUOTE ""Leave the job, take the contract."". (I could hear him make this statement from their cell phone.) \r I was numb, as I watched the 2 guys walk off and leave my apartment! \r \r So there you have it. This is a true story about Superior (not) Movers. So puhleez beware. I sincerely don't wanna see another soul go through this experience. It was shocking. I consider this in the category of ""bullying"", as the owner ""knew"" I was single. My next stop is reporting this on CitySearch. (Already reported them to Better Business Bureau more

Superior Moving Co. is by far the best moving company that I ever had move my belongings! \r \r I had an emergency move - I called around to other moving companies and couldn't get an answer, and those who did answer tried to charge me higher rates because of what day it was, and I was desperate. \r \r I was told I would have to pay for fuel, any pads that have to be used (even though they take them back at the end of the move), and even straps that's supposed to be used to keep my items from moving while in the truck. \r \r I was told every company charges like this and nobody would move me on the same day, well they were WRONG!! because Superior Moving Co. did it and had no problems with doing it.\r \r I was given an unbeatable price with no hidden fees. \r \r The workers were fast,efficiant, and very respectable.\r \r So I just want to take this time to thank the crew that I was so lucky to have!\r \r The next time you're ready to move I strongly suggest you give Superior Moving a call you won't regret it I promise. \r \r Again thanks to Everyone at Superior you deserve it!!! more

Great experience this morning with Superior Moving & Storage. The two gentlemen that moved me this morning were incredible. This is the second time I have used this company to move and this experience was better than the last. Some of my pieces of furniture are above average size and I worry when it is time for me to move. But these men were professionals. They got all my furniture through small tight spaces without complaining for one and without a scratch or a rip. Thanks alot for all your hardwork this morning Bob G and partner. more

Normally I'm a pain in the butt when it comes to being a consumer. OK, let's be honest, I'm a night mare. I want my food yesterday. I want my pizza delivered warm. I want my DVD rentals un scratched. I want more than is humanly possible from any business I deal with. So, when I was looking for a moving company and came across Superior movers, it was a complete shot in the dark. I needed to move in three hours, I didn't want to spend much, and I wanted it to be perfect. Guess what? I moved in two hours. I spent next to nothing..and the move was more than just perfect. It was spectacular. It was entertaining. The movers were so damm kind and easy going I felt bad about the tip(which they were extremely grateful for). I'm not kidding. Superior is the way to go. My wife and I just sat out of the way and within an hour our three bed room apartment was packed into a truck. Within and hour and a half we were at the new adress. Within two hours we were moved with all of the furniture put right where we wanted it. Nothing dropped. Nothing broken. And get this...no one cursed!!!!! If Superior covered all aspects of business I'd call them for everything. They were extremely flexible with our time and were willing to work for a half hour for free to accomodate us. (!!!!!) That's how good it was. Don't pass these guys up. I'll answer any question you have. I don't work for Superior. I'm just a happy customer that's rarely happy about anything when it comes to service. They never called me back, never got their estimate.\r \r I feel truly blessed becasue afterwards, I spoke with two neighbors who told me that their move was a disaster.\r \r I ended up using another company and am thrilled I did.\r \r I guess the old saying--you get what you pay for it true! more

I run a small business fixing furniture and use superior for everything. They never turn me down no matter how small the job. One of my customers told me about the bad reviews and i thought now is my time 2 help them as they help me. This is very unfortunate. I use Superior on a weekly basis and have never ran into a problem. more

I had to move suddenly and never really hired anyone before... I wasn't sure how to even go about it... So I called Superior... I read these reviews on here and got nervous... Who did i hire??? In my opion these reviews couldn't have been more wrong... I called so many times and changed things that I expected my own mother to get upset... Not these guys... Everytime I called it was always pleasent... Move day coulnd't have went any better... Joey and Junior were amaizing... They were so helpful and went above and beyond... I would recomend this company dispite any bad reviews... more

After my first phone call from Mark I knew we had found our moving company. \r \r \r I called several others before, but Mark was the most professional and the only one who seemed to care to have my business.\r \r \r We moved from a 3-story (2 bedroom) in the Rittenhouse area to a 2-story (3 bedroom) in Media. \r \r \r When my wife and I moved into the place the 3-story a few years ago, it took nearly 6 hours between 6 people. I am a work in nanny i work for a great family who had recently hired superior movers to move some of our belongings to a new home on the other side of town while doing so they managed to steal an acer laptop and keeping it for a week everytime i called they got smart but yet they stole my computer I called a few weeks after getting settled into my new home to report the computer had not been acting right and the man on the phone got smart and said he did not want to talk about it because he wasn't in the mood and it was sunday in fact it was today so now i am forced to take legal action superior movers ARE THE WORSE MOVERS EVER AND TO THE SO CALLED MAN NAME REPO THAT I BELIEVE IS FAKE AS HELL I HAVE ALL YOUR INFORMATION STORED ON MY COMPUTER BABE YOU FORGOT TO LOG OUT OF YOUR EMAIL I'M TAKING IT TO THE POLICE AND HAVING YOU ARRESTED FOR THEFT AND PORPERTY DISTRUCTION AND SUPERIOUR MOVERS I'M REPORTING YOU TO THE BETTER BUSSINES BUREAU more

As a proactive consumer who was not familiar with any of the regional moving companies, I read the positive and negative reviews on Superior Moving. I chose Superior based on their price. We were completely satisfied with their punctuality, care taken to our furnishings, professionalism and reliability during our out of state move. I highly recommend them for all of the above. more

These guys are the best! Made arrangements with Joe who sent three of the best guys you'd ever want to meet! Took care of my furniture like it was their own. Moved from a third floor apartment to a second floor apartment both with no elevators on the hottest day this year. No complaints from the movers. They just took care of business! Price was less than my estimate. Will use again for sure!!!!!\r more

I called Superior out of the blue-I had used another local moving company for several of our moves. I needed to move some of our heavy furniture to a condo, so this was not an entire house move. I called several other movers and then spoke to Mark at Superior. He was up front, honest and provided me with a lot of information I wouldn't think to ask. Bottom line, the cost to move our items was half of what the other companies were planning to charge. I also like that it is a family owned and operated company. Our movers, James and Conway, showed up on time, were courteous and couldn't do enough to make sure everything was placed in the right spot at the condo. They were great! Here is creditbility for you... I don't negate that people have had bad experiences with this moving companies, Superior included. I've read reviews of plenty before choosing Superior and not one moving company had a ""squeaky clean"" record. Our experience with Superior, and we count our blessings, was everything positvie. Having worked in a heavily competitve field, I know bad reviews are continuously being written by competitors. On the flip side, good reviews are written by employees of its own company. Not all the reviews though are ""fake"", good or bad. No matter what moving company you choose to go with, you take your chances with someone else handling your belongings. You WILL NOT find one moving company that DOES NOT have a bad review. I've searched. What we solely based our decision upon was the bottom dollar. Reading all the reviews of MANY moving companies drove me completely NUTS!!! And after MANY calls and estimates, Superior was able to do our move at half the cost of other moving companies. We chose to take a chance of complete strangers manhandling our items into our new home and we chose to save money with our move. We were completely satisfied with them. If we would have done the move ourselves... in the end, our bodies would have been broken down, and half of our belongings would have been damaged along with our new home. But thanks to Superior all our items arrived in the same condition they were before being packed away and there was not a scratch ding or anything to be found on our new walls! I could write a book on how wonderful this company is to work with. I have used them several times and each experience has been awesome! They moved my parents and took such care with all their items. I used Superior because of all the good reviews. However, my experience was TERRIBLE, and I would not recommend this company to anyone that I actually liked. I had everything set up in advance with the company. At 6am, the company calls me to tell me that they don't have movers for me. They wanted to know if I could wait until much later in the afternoon, or the next day. I told them that I flew into Philly to move apartments. (I was working outside of Philly at the time). I couldn't do a time outside of the one that Superior Movers had promised. The person on the phone hangs up abruptly. Then calls at 6:15AM and says, okay we got a crew together for you. This new crew called me 4 times before 7 AM to confirm and reconfirm items that I had gone over with the company several times before. Rather than feel reassured that the crew was conscientious, I started to feel really nervous. A business who's sole purpose is to move people, should have its act together and 1) have a crew ready and if not 2) not have to call the client 4 times right before a move. When the crew got to my house it was worse. I told them they couldn't park in the back because it would be too narrow for their van, so they'd have to park on the side street up against my apartment. The crew ignored my suggestion, backed into the house and HIT THE SIDE OF THE APARTMENT PILLAR WITH THE TRUCK. At that point, they drove forward, looked embarrassed and guilty, and used the side street like I told them to use. Then when they were moving my things into their truck, they said they'd have to charge me extra for boxes. I told them that I discussed this with their head office and that boxes should've been included with my service. They VEHEMENTLY disagreed, and told me I'd have to pay them 20 extra dollars per box. I then called the head office and asked them how much a box would cost. The head office told me 10 dollars per box. These guys were totally trying to rip me off. I then asked the head guy why I was even being charged for boxes when it shouldve been included. The head office guy on the phone said fine, boxes are included. At one point, the crew decides that they can't move my bed without charging me an extra 50 bucks because they have to take it up the stairs. I asked them why because they knew ahead a time about the stairs. This was discussed before hand. Then they wanted extra money for a mirror because they didn't want to break it. This was already discussed before too. They then wanted me to put in writing that I wasn't going to hold them liable for damages to the building! They refused to do work until I wrote this in writing. They would mess up the property, and yet weren't going to be held responsible even though I had nothing to do with it! When they finished putting in the last chair, one of the guys like ""we're off the clock!! we're off the clock!! i'm not doing a single thing more!! we're off the clock"" These people were suppose to help me unpack since a lot of my items were large furniture pieces that I couldn't move on my own. This was prearranged when I called to set up my appointment. My apartment was a mess because they didn't ask me where to put anything, and at that point I just wanted them to leave. They reached their hand over for a tip, and I looked at them with shock. They were so bad. I couldn't believe they wanted a tip. The crew was a team of 3. One of the guys seemed to be as confounded by the other two's behavior that he shook his head and walked out. So yeah. I would pass on this company. I've had other movers before, and this one was so so terrible. It was such a bad day. :( more

this is a really good company to work with. i have used them several times and one guy is better than the next! they have always shown up with a great attitude ready to get the job done. and the owner mark is one of the nicest guys i've ever met. if you need to use a moving company, there is no one else in the city that does half a good a job as these guys so look no further!\r \r -chris mastronardo more

I was very impressed when I used Superior for my recent move and I don't impress easy! But they came recommended to me from a friend and a co-worker so I figured I'd give em a shot. It was worth every penny and then some! They really did a great job and I won't hesitate to recommend them or use them again in the future! more
