If I could give less than one star, I would. They were 5 hours late for the appointment. Told us how horrible our carpets looked and then tried to charge us $120 above our groupon. Not only that, said it only covered one room when it clearly said 3. These guys should be shut down. more

Avoid this company!! They are a complete scam! Showed up an hour late, told me they were going to charge me an additional $115 ABOVE what I already bought online and then said my normal size apartment was considered large so they wouldn't even do high traffic areas in ONE room when I paid for TWO rooms! Also said they would move furniture and got there and said they wouldn't....I was in shock. Then, my roommate ended up in the elevator with them as they were leaving and she was coming and they were talking about how they got another one to pay and didn't have to do service! I have reported them and will warn anyone not to use this scam of a service. more

I bought a groupon. It took several calls to get the appointment scheduled, which was then 3 months out. They arrived 2 hours late, then tried the bait and switch. Paid $65 for the groupon, they wanted to add another $111 because they needed to use commercial grade as my carpets were so bad and they wouldn't include the stairs, even though the areas I was having cleaned were less than the groupon allowed. They charged me $3 per stair and their commercial grade was a spray bottle that they used before they shampooed. They were a joke! more

Received services from them last month. Was charged close to $100 above my Groupon. On their website they mention reviewing services before work is done and extras are added - did not happen! They talk about using a carpet rake to ensure quick drying - did not happen! The company claims one thing, does another and add charges to your bill This is exactly the kind of company that you would want to avoid from your online research. DO NOT USE more

My wife and I have used the big companies in the past, coit and Stanley, plus zerorez. This small company got results!!!!! A little rough around the edges but well worth it. Honest small company with just a few men. I have seen some of the reviews and it amazes me how fake some of these bad reviews sound. I checked these guys out. ...A... Rated BBB record, and they really work at positively satisfying customers. I like dealing with small businesses. Better service and organic people,not uniformed monkeys. more

The carpet cleaners were one hour late - which is never a big deal for me as I understand traffic jams are unpredictable. The amount quoted and the amount charged were extremely different. High pressure tactics. They are many other carpet cleaners out there so go with someone who knows how to honor their quotes. There are others on this site I see that were scammed by this bait and switch. AVOID!! more

Had the crew out yesterday for some pet problems. Our dog "Bobo" had been sick. He had puked and pooped all over. I thought it was ruined but ike and frank did a wonderful job!! They saved my carpet with I must say a lot of hard work and patience and some humor too. Thanks so much guys! Denise more

They get 1 start ONLY because the carpets looked good when complete, otherwise it would have been 0/5. My wife and I purchased a Groupon for 3 rooms for $59, we made an appointment and the company showed on the scheduled day. I also clarified on the phone that the $59 Groupon would cover our 3 rooms with no hidden fees/services. However, once they arrived the attempted to explain to my wife 'how Groupon works'. They stated that "Groupon is just a purchased discount, we don't see that money. You have to pay us for a service". They went on to state that we had extremely soiled and stained carpet and needed to charge more. My wife (with similar habits to the character Monica from 'Friends') agreed that the carpet was dirty, but not extremely soiled. They continued to argue with her and tell her that "since she lived in the house, she doesn't see it/notice it anymore" and that our carpets were "covered" in stains. My wife then stated that she just wanted the 'basic' cleaning, they didn't need to use stronger, 'deeper-cleaning' chemicals and she'd be happy with the results. She asked them to clean as if it were a 'normal' carpet. This still wasn't good enough. Finally, my wife relented and agreed to pay their up-charge. When she started to make out the check for the extra $45 to 'Sunshine Carpet', the gentlemen corrected her and had her make it out to 'Steve'. He even crossed out the name of the company on the invoice and wrote in hand 'Steve'. To add insult to injury, they wore their shoes (without booties) throughout the house and hooked up to and continuously ran our water (other companies we've used bring their own water-source). If you like being talked down to, arguing, and getting ripped off, Sunshine is your kind of place. more

I was recently serviced bu sunshine cleaning and thought they did a great job. I have had my airducts cleaned before and these guys really brushed out the system. I could hear the debris coming out through the vacuum hose. I will use them for carpets this summer. Thanks!! more

Although the carpet itself seems to be cleaner I do not feel it was worth what we paid. We bought a Groupon, however ended up paying quite a bit more once it was all said and done. I had read that this happened to others, so right up front I said that all I wanted was a basic cleaning so we wouldn’t be charged extra. They told me that that’s not how the Groupon worked. I felt pressured to just give in, but after the fact looked at the fine print and it never said anything about an assessment or mandatory extra charges. To me it felt like a bait and switch. I would suggest going with a different carpet cleaning company if you don’t want to get a fast one pulled on you. more

First off, I want to say the actual carpet cleaning was great. The carpet was cleaned very well. The reason I gave them one star is because of professionalism. I have never been treated so poorly. The scariest thing is it was the Manager that was so bad. The guys that came to clean the carpet were very nice. This manager yelled and cursed at me for no reason. I did not order this cleaning, it was ordered by another individual with a groupon. It was my move in day, no wait, they didn't show up on the day they were suppose to. It was the day after my move in day, and they guys showed up to clean the carpet. The walked through and said there is more $ owed for cleaning stains, that the groupon only covered a "basic" cleaning. Fair enough, I know chemicals are expensive, and to get some stains out can be pricey, but I am not responsible for it. It is the responsibility of the former resident who ordered the service. That is when the manager started yelling and cursing and threatening to take his guys off of the job because I didn't want to pay for something I had no responsibility for. I even got the landlord to say they would pay for the cleaning, but the jackass manager refused to take the landlords $. He had to have mine. It didn't make any sense. I am a reasonable guy, but if you can't be professional towards me, and you are taking out frustration from a bad business decision you made, then you shouldn't be in the position you are in. My only hope is that those two guys their doing carpet cleaning go work for a better company that knows how to talk to customers. This is at least 24 hours after the incident and I am still pissed at that manager. Again, the carpet cleaning was done very well, it was the manager's lack of respect and professionalism that get's the 1 star... more

I had Sunshine do my carpets (using a Groupon) a few months ago. The owner was on time but arrived in a huff, and told me he had just fired his employee that morning. So he brought his girlfriend to assist. He charged me an additional $60 for heavily soiled areas. His square footage calculation for what was "soiled" was quite liberal but whatever, its a Groupon. The carpets were clean, I guess, nothing spectacular. First four reviews look pretty fake though --- written in promotional language, in a few week period, and all by people who never wrote another review. Oh, and they're all five stars. Take that into consideration. Good luck! more

We chose Sunshine carpet and airduct cleaners via groupon to clean our carpets. When it was time to clean the stairs, one of the guys sprayed some solution which was evidently chemical/toxic in nature. It had very pungent fumes and when asked the guy spraying it asked me to stay away from it as it is a harsh chemical. I further asked him if it was a some sort of soap, he said it is stronger than that and that I should not walk barefoot on it while the chemical was still there. After they left, I had hives all over my body, red and bumpy. My wife and I rushed to the urgent care where I was diagnosed with ALLERGY and given oral steroids and antihistamines. I came back home and in a matter of 3-4 hours, I had hives on my face and the medicine did not seem to have any effect. We rushed to another ER next, got steroids and antihistamines through IV this time. The following morning my face was swollen, my lips were big, my wrist joints hurt and I had patchy hives again. This was Friday and a third visit to the ER later we decided to go to a friends place and stay there. Today is Sunday and my hives are all gone while I am still staying with a friend. When my wife spoke to cleaner to find out what was used they were rude and condescending to her and hung up on her. They REFUSED to provide information on what was used in my house, I just wanted to have a record of what I am allergic to. 3 ER visits and few 100 dollars later, all doctors wanted me to find out what was the product used. When my wife spoke the "President" of the company said to her we use "Dawn Dish Soap" and that my worker asked you to stay away from it as it can get slippery. When my wife insisted, he snapped back saying "This is not a debate, I am not in a political campaign, we use Dawn dish soap, end of story" He was double talking and not letting my wife speak. THE PERSON RUNNING THIS COMPANY COULD NOT CARE LESS ABOUT HIS CUSTOMERS more

The service they provided was outstanding, the carpets are spotless and squeaky clean and white. They were punctual, and were very friendly. We had time to chat about many things while they were there. The cleaning only took about 2 and a half hours for my 3 rooms apartment. I will recommend them to friends. more

I have hired Sunshine Carpet and Airduct Cleaning for my restaurant. The entrance carpets are very clean, they use new eco-friendly cleaning products to remove the dirt they told me. I'm happy with the work and the price is OK too. more

They we're very professional, friendly, did a great job and were well priced. I had them also clean 2 of my shops downtown. This company took their time and did a great job.
