I have received a gift certificate at Sensia for the True Bliss Package. After spending the whole day at Sensia, I wanted other people to know that I truly enjoyed my day. The quality of services I received and the professionalism of the staff was greatly appreciated. I will be returning. Pros: relaxing experience more

On a Sunday, I went to Sensia for a Massage, and facial and pedicure. The spa was warm and inviting and I throughly enjoyed my services. The staff was professional and efficient. The front desk even brought me a menu during my pedicure to order a quick lunch..perfect. This is the second time I have gone to Sensia and will be back. more

I've been going to Sensia for a number of years and while there are some setbacks, I think they are pretty minor compared to the service you receive. Yes, a majority of the front desk people tend to be rude but your interaction w/them is literally about 5 mins total for both check in/check out. I usually go to Diana for my hot stone massages (Susanna is also good and similar in technique). Rad is THE BEST person for facials in town in my opinion. I've gone to several spas-all of which are more expensive and I have not found anybody that compares. He spends a lot of time w/me and I don't feel like he's ever rushing to get me in/out. The 60 min facials are always at least 60 mins and not 45-50 mins. Their skincare products are also really good and I have sensitive skin. I go to Tracy for my pedicures and she always does a great job as well. Hard to get a spa pedi w/the wrap and warm stones for $40. Overall I would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend trying the facials and pedis. If you opt for a massage, try Susanna or Diana if you like deep tissue type massages w/some stretching that is incorporated. OMG, i can't begin to tell you how elated i was with my hair and make-up. when i walked into sensia i felt plain and unattactive. within a few hours i was transformed into a hot confident diva!!!!!!!! not only did they make me look beautiful, more importantly, they made me see how great i am!!!!!!! i left there feeling like a princess. i would like to scincerely thank my make-artist mellissa and my new stlist victoria, she brighted and shined my hair like never before. what a wonderful christmas gift. i will be able to enjoy these precious memories for the rest of my life, with tons of photos with me at my best. thank you victoria, my hair is so shiney and youthful. my make-up was fabulouse. my husbands partners thought i was beautiful. whats that worth? money of course but more importantly my husband was taken with me just like when we were newlyweds. were taking a secound honeymoon in europe. va, va ,va,vu,voooom!!!!!!! All i can say is victoria, victoria, victoria no one has ever made my hair look so shiny and healthy. she really listened to me and did exactly what i wanted. My japanese straightner is oustaninding. my hair is soooo easy to style. i love being able to just wash and go. my hair stays sleek and frize free!!! i feel confident putting my hair into such capable and truly caring hands. I truly love my hair and will never let anyone else touch it again. my husband loves being able to run his fingers through my hair. To my amazment, he thinks my new staight, super vibrant locks are hot and definatly worth the time and money. I love my hair sooo much i sent my sister to see victoria for highlights. Again, victoria made her hair look better than ever. Its so refreshing to find a proffessional stlyst who knows her stuff. Well rounded and creative without all the pretence "" Ignorence "" that you find too often in other stylist. I am a mature women, and appreciate the fact that she listened and then told me what was best within my guidlines. When my hair was done i was thrilled to see she did exactly what we had agreed upon. WOW!!! My next visit i plan to check out the spa looks very tranqiul environment. The staff was friendly and seemed to be enjoying their work and very attentive. I will certainly be recomending Victoria to all my family and friends. Im positive any client of Victoria will leave your spa with a smile on their face. As i mentioned earlier, my sister had gotten her hair done by Victoria, but i can not tell you how much she apprecates the very, very, very profesional highlighted hair. I used Citysearch to research for my visit to Sensia and I know that many people also use this website to research for services so I am inputing my review hoping others find it helpful: Sensia Day Spa is conveniently located, the spa is well kept and tranquil. My massage with the Spanish lady, although small-built, her strength is incredible. My facial with a gentleman was very pampered and my skin glows. Manicure & Pedicure with the Asian lady was very relaxing and was handled gently. All in all, the services were wonderful. However, when I came to the front desk to check out I had to stand there to wait for the receptionist (with glasses) finish badmouthing about another coworker with the other receptionist. I was not asked how were my services? She asked for my name, checked out, said thank you, and before I could put my credit card back in my wallet she went back continuing her gossip with the lady next to her. As I was driving home, I recalled that was the same receptionist that greeted me, walked me back to the spa with the same icy cold look on her face and never once did she smile. Absolutely love this place! In fact, so does my husband. The owners are great & they have hired all the best of the best! We've had massages, mani/pedi, hair services, and I've have many make-up sessions. The makeup line is very good and truly holds up in the humidity. Also, do try the makeup remover & makeup brush cleaner. We also love the hair products, and the intoxicating candles. Pros: Open 7 days a week! Cons: None!! more

I just moved to Houston and needed to find a new salon fast. I have very thick hair that is quite sensitive to the weather. Needless to say, the Houston humidity made my hair frizz to the point that it was unmanageable. I asked around and heard raves of about Melina's hairstraigtening service. I called and got an appointment right away and had a free consultation. Melina was very personable, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. She really listened to my questions and wanted to know exactly what I wanted so I would be satisfied with my service. A week or two later I returned for the straightening. The staff was great and provided a lunch while I endured the long process. Despite the time it took, my experience was great. Melina was wonderful and I absolutely love my hair. Not only have I gotten many compliments, but it saves me so much time getting ready everyday. I will definitely be returning! more

Asked for my hair to be colored medium ash-blonde and - instead - walked out of their with dark red hair. Major Mistake! Not to worry. Went back the next day and Aimee rescued me -- made it look great! Best color correction I could imagine. Even when they mess up - this salon takes great care of you. more

I had Lance, I loved the way he styled my hair. But i was kind of disappointed in the cut. I wanted high layers, and a trim. My hair is very thin, and i need lots of volume. He trimmed my hair, but i asked him if he trimmed the high layers and he said he did... but i don't think he did. My hair is long and it looks the same (except trimmed) as the day i walked in. I paid 85 dollars after tip, and for that amount i need more than just my hair styled. I called in to make an appointment (my first time) they told me it would be 70 dollars, and than i came and got charged 75 - i didn't like that either, very inconsistent. The place is nice and very trendy, i think if you're looking for more oomph, you need to be very specific if you go here. Pros: Ambience, Parking Cons: Quick, Haircut wasn't what i wanted more

I have been to many spa's in Houston. Sensia gave me and my mother a wonderful experience. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the energy the spa exhumes . My mother had never had a facial before and loved what Karen recommended and she left Sensia glowing. She loved her services, massage, facial, and spa warmstone pedicure. My family and I went to Sensia for bridal application and hair. They did a beautiful job on my sister (the bride) , however, for the rest of us it was not worth the price. It was very expensive, they charged me about a $160 for my girls (ages 4, and 6) , who got their hair done with very simple styles, and their hair was easily done within 15 minutes. The spa itself isn't beautiful inside, so if your looking for a true spa experience this definitely isn't the place. The staff were nice and made the experience nice. I did find that the owners husband was a little cranky though. Overall, I think there is better places to get your hair and makeup done for same price. more

I was reccommended to see Vikki for my highlights by a friend. I'm soooo glad I went. My highlights are the perfect honey blonde that sparkles! Wow!!!!! What a fun day I had at Sensia this past weekend! My girlfriends and I came in to celebrate my bachelorette. This is definately the way to go. We were able to relax and rejuvinate with massage , manicures and pedicures. I would recommend coming here for any bride before her wedding day!!! Pros: great service more

I had my eyelash extensions applied by a so called professional on Wednesday, carefully followed all of the directions for their care, and my lashes had almost completely fallen out by Friday. I had to go to another reputable salon to have them fixed and now I am loving them. However, I sure wish I never wasted my time or money at Sensia. Consider yourself warned!! The salon was very busy and the energy was great, the spa was quiet , small and cozy, I fell asleep in the waiting area before my massage . Massage with Susanna is a must (she is small but mighty.)..Friendly staff. Pros: Above Average..good for my budget more

I have had a great day at Sensia. My kids gave me a gift certificate and I loved the warm stones in the massage. My facial was relaxing and I fell asleep. The chair for the pedicure was like another massage. I had my hair washed and styled and also my make up put on for me. I looked so good my husband took me out for dinner. It was so fun to be pampered I want to get gift certificates for all my presents ""hint hint honey"" I give Sensia a gold star for being great. more

I've been twice and was disappointed each time. I will not go back. My first experience was on a gift certificate. The package came with a makeup application I was told when I arrived that a makeup person was not there and I would not receive the service. Additionally I called ahead to report that I would be 10-minutes late. I was told that my massage would be docked 10-minutes. Not a great way to start my relaxing day.
