Great Facialist but Wedding Trial Way Too Rushed! 6/5/2007

I'm a transplant from NYC and Boston and no stranger to nice day spas. I usually go to Sensia for facials with Heidi who is amazing. My old facialist also worked for Nicole Kidman (picky) but Heidi is just as good! She's very professional, won't suggest things you don't need and is very honest. The reason that I rated this location Average / Recommended is because I was somewhat disappointed by my wedding trial. I had Cynthia for makeup and while I had to ask for changes, she was happy to accommodate. No Customer Service At All! 5/30/2007

I hired this salon to do hair and makeup before my wedding. I went in for a trial run on the make-up and purchased some of their make-up. I re-confirmed the date and time a few days prior to my wedding day. Come my wedding day, the Sensia employee was a NO SHOW!! They failed to show up, never called, and apparently ""forgot"" about my big day. When I finally reached the owner after the fact, he couldnt care less. It seemed to make no difference to them that their employee had failed to keep a very important appointment. They even refused to refund my money for the trial run and make up I purchased. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SALON. more

New longer hair! 5/22/2007

I love it love it love it! I got new extensions from Aimee and I love the new way she puts them in my hair! It is still the great lenghts hair but this time it is done with this locking snap. It is not like the one that uses the heat to melt the bond. I really like the new system and I love the fact that it is CHEAPER!!!! more

I am happy with my new look and feel great after my day at the spa. I saw Jonathan for my hair and I love the new color. I want to schedule for a makeup makeover so I can get the makeup that Melissa used on me. I feel fabulouse and my husband likes my new look too! more

Best deep tissue massage 5/22/2007

I scheduled a massage with Letty every two weeks cause it is a necessity that I take care of my body by getting the best massages in town. She has really helped my lower back. I really like the ashiatsu walking on the back massage she does. Wow! Pros: letty, ashiatsu, massage more

What a great mothers day! 5/22/2007

My kids pitched in and gave me a cretificate for Mothers day! I was treated like a princess and taken such good care of. I had never had a beter facial in Houston! I am recomending going to Sensia and also giving this as a gift to the important people in your like. My kids gift to me was perfect and this is what I want them to give me for Christmas and birthdays and next years mothers day too! Spa horrors 4/23/2007

after going to a spa in the galleria I realize what top notch spas look like and feel like. This is it. Not the most friendly or welcoming but definetly the top notch in quality. Price is a bit high but hey you get what yo pay for. more

Spa Day with Friends was Wonderful 4/20/2007

Went to Sensia with 2 of my high school friends before our reunion. We had facials, and massages and met with the owner Cynthia who did our make-up for the night and we had our hair blowdryed and cut. We thought we looked like our high school pictures..15 years ago..lol . i get massages fairly regularly, and this place meets the standard. i personally did not find it to be the most exceptional spa i've been to, but it was certainly not the worse either. i did not care for the small space/waiting area before/after your massage....also, there was constant staff traffic and it was not very peaceful and quiet.....the changing areas are also small, had to wait for others before i could go inside to change, there was not one larger area as other spas i've been to before.....the massage rooms are also very traditional japanese style, as the walls are literally paper thin.....so you could hear everything going on next to you.....i've actually traveled to japan before, where space is limited and tight....so if you want that real ""japan"" feel, then this spa certainly fits! the quality of the massage was also adequate.... more

The Service was THE BEST..FIRST CLASS SPA 2/15/2007

My girlfriend and myself went to Sensia to spend some time together, We had Stone Massages, and Stone Pedicures, and then our hair and Make-up done. Everything was perfect, esp. our Hair Blow-outs. The salon was very busy, The front desk was friendly and curteous considering all that the staff has to do..I will go back. more

Amazing job...made my wedding day even better! 2/6/2007

I went to Sensia for a wedding day consultation about three months before my wedding and then after loving what they did went for my wedding day hair. Jonathan did an amazing job and it looked beautiful and held all night. They also did all of my bridesmaids hair and they were all so happy with the results. Sensia was also great on knowing our needs and made sure that we were out of there on time (even early) to not add to the stress of the day. Amazing job! Pros: Great service and staff more

Went to the spa at Sensia, WARM STONE PEDICURES are the ""Bomb."" Also had a Warm Stone Massage, I have them at other spas but this was exceptional. The spa was very quiet, I fell asleep during my facial treatment.. more

2nd Wedding Trial Run 1/21/2007

This is a follow-up from a previous post. My first trial run here, I was unhappy with the hair session, so I posted a note explaining the experience. Within the next day or so from posting, I got a call from Cynthia (owner, make-up artist) who had read the review. She was very concerned and asked if she could please fix this for me. She explained that she really wanted me to be happy with my services. And she really went out of her way to do this. I thought it was absolutely amazing for her to care so much - it says a lot about the quality of customer service there. She set me up for another hair trial - free of charge - with another stylist, Jonathan. He did a great job - I was very pleased with his work - looked great, stayed in place, and he really cared whether I liked the way it looked. Definitely give these guys a shot for your wedding. Cynthia will take GREAT care of you in every way she can. I can't say enough good things about the service here. I have booked them for hair, make-up, and nails for bridal party, mothers, and even flower girl. --go with Cynthia for make-up and Jonathan for hair, and you can't go wrong. more

I dreaded going to the Post Oak/Galleria area between Thanksgiving and Christmas (I'm sure you know why), anyway after I arrived and walked in I forgot all that. The staff was very professional, it was serene from the moment I stepped in the door and very clean. I had an hour Japanese warm stone massage by Hugo. Out of this world. I was so relaxed I could barely drive home to the Heights after he was finished. I will definately go back. Also thought the price was reasonable. Cons: Location more

My wife and I went to Sensia for a day together at the spa. I couldnt believe how nice it was to relax in such a tranquil environment. We both had ""The Rejuvination"" package. Everyone at the Sensia spa was so kind and treated us to the day we needed.
