I was skeptical about this new nail polish because I am so hard on my nails. I do art and gardening. I was promised 2 weeks wear, but it actually lasted 3!! I am so impressed. I will never bother with regular polish again. more

Bride's beware. If you book this studio for makeup and hair styling for your bridal party, I suggest you have a back up plan. If a larger bridal party, that will generate more income, wants the same scheduled date as you, Sensia will call to inform you they ""doubled book"" and cannot do your bridal party. I have been going to Sensia for over two years and I had my eye on Jonathan's amazing work. So I tried Jonathan the beginning of this year, and he is absolutely the best!!!!!!!!!! Every visit with him is refreshing, and upbeat, and he always brings the best out of me whether inside or out. My hair has never looked this great, and I give him major kudos. Francisco has been cutting, coloring and highlighting my hair for about a year now. Right off the bat, he understands what I want with a new color or new highlight color. I bought the recent Groupon for the Brazilian Keratin Treatment and makeup application. I called to make my appointment and was able to choose the day and time that worked best for me, not the other way around. I also asked if it was possible to save the makeup application for a later date because I really had no need for it now and I was told that was not a problem (the Groupon actually said both services had to be completed on the same day). This was my first time to visit Sensia and naturally, I was a little nervous about having someone new do my hair. I forgot the print-out of my Groupon but the receptionist was very nice and let me pull it up on my phone and show it to her. Francisco (my stylist) met me at the front counter while I was checking in so I didn't have to wait at all. He sat with me for a few minutes to make sure I understood the process, and even though I told him I had done it before, he was very thorough in explaining what he was going to do. Francisco was super-friendly and did amazing work in a short amount of time. The first time I had the Keratin treatment on my hair, it took over 4 hours at a different salon. Francisco had me in and out in 2 hours, which was fantastic. He even fixed the uneven haircut I received at the other salon, free of charge. The salon is a bit on the pricey side for a haircut but I'm going to suck it up and pay it because Francisco made such an impression on me. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. My only gripe is that you can't tip on your credit card. I had no cash on me but luckily, I had my checkbook. It would have been nice if I had been informed of that policy when I booked my appointment. Other than that, I was very impressed. I recently came into get a facial from Michelle who was recommended by a friend and also a woman I work with. The facial was so relaxing and the music was peaceful. I liked the fact that my facial was thorough and the extractions were not very ""painful"" but felt she removed a lot from my skin. Also, she pointed out that I had some thi ngs on my skin that I'd never heard of, she used some sort of medical term for them and explained that she had worked for a Dr for 2 years. She also spent t time massaging my neck and shoulders which felt great with the heated bed I was laying on. Overall I think this was the best facial I've had in a very long time! I will tell my friends about her and definitely return when she told me to. more

I tried the Zen Vitamin C Facial ($95) using a Groupon. When I walked in, I was greeted immediately and a friendly receptionist walked me back to the spa lounge, where they provided a spa robe, shoes, lockers, and an assortment of teas and coffees. The lounge was small, but very well designed and decorated to create a calm, zen atmosphere, perfect for gearing down for a facial or massage. This was by far the most spa-like lounge I've been to in Houston, where as all of the other ""spas"" are really just back rooms of hair and nail salons. Michelle was quiet and calming and asked many skin/facial related questions before she began. She had a gentle, but firm touch, crucial to a good facial. Michelle was thorough and handled the entire facial very professionally. She also gives a good scalp massage, while leaving your hair only a little bit oily. My only complaint was that she was a bit too serious when discussing skin issues (ie. critical of my current skin routine). While I like educated estheticians working on my face, her demeaner was a little offputting during the lesson speach. I walked out of Sensia with my face feeling clean, tight, and well hydrated - and that lasted through the evening. My daughter, daughter-in-law and I spent a relaxing day Saturday at Sensia enjoying their Spa Teaser treatments. The facility is serene and quiet and the staff is courteous and excel in their specific treatment area. I particularly enjoyed my massage with Letty. I've had massages at spas in Sedona and Las Vegas. Letty's talent ranks up there with the therapists at these more expensive spas. She targeted my problem area and provided immediate relief with her skilled expertise. She offered exercise advice as well to minimize my achy stress points. All three of us are looking forward to a return visit to Sensia for our annual Mother's Day Spa day. And I hope to see Letty again soon for a longer massage on my next visit to Houston!
