This was the first time I used Schmidt Mechanical Group, and I am very happy with them. I called them when my AC stopped working. The service agent found that my AC just needed a new capacitor. Changing the capacitor was inexpensive and didn't take very long. The service agent was very prompt, polite and careful while working on my AC. It was a very good experience overall. more

After having four companies give me an estimate for a new AC unit, there was no question concerning which one to use. Schmidt provided written information from the manufacturer with specs for my needs and a detailed sheet with what was and was not included in my purchase. The estimator was prompt, professional, and friendly as were the workers who installed the unit. The price quoted was slightly better than the next best offer, but it was their knowledge and customer service which most influenced me to use them. WARNING....A company which advertises heavily on TV gave me the absolute worst experience. A sloppily dressed worker, who spent little time looking at my old unit, gave me nothing in writing, only a vague description and a verbal quote that was 25% higher than the next lowest quote. more

I called for an A/C tuneup and had a technician at my door within 2 hours. He was respectful of me and my home and he explained everything he did in detail. He also gave tips for preventing the issue we had in the future (which was a clogged drain pipe). more

Rusty Cain came out for the initial visit was to check out the A/C. It wasn't keeping up with the heat!! From the start, I was very impressed with his professionalism and overall thoroughness. He showed me all the readings. Added 3lb of R-12. Explained what he had to do. I asked about a New System. He asked all the right questions, Did all the measurements, the Attic as well. He got on the phone and within an hour I had a very complete and detailed quote covering a variety of size appropriate options. The option we selected "Comfort Maker 3ton unit A/C and Heating." The price was competitive with other units. Mr. Cain coordinated the install date with us, "next day installation." Next day the crew got here early (as Rusty said they would), put up the appropriate city permits (which Air Systems had pulled), laid down drop cloths to protect our flooring/carpets, and got right to work. By four in the afternoon the unit was up and running and by 6:30 PM the crew had completed the install and done a fantastic clean up job. I scheduled the city code compliance inspector to come by the 7th Aug.. LET ME TELL YOU, THE A/C IS WORKING "GREAT FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 12 YEARS!" :-) Thanks Rusty, One Heck Of A Job. more

Schmidt Mechanical Group, Inc. came out to inspect our air conditioning system. They arrived on time, and the tech, Quincy, was very polite -- a pleasure to work with. He gave us an estimate for the work to be done, and we scheduled the appointment for later that week. Again, they were very professional, on time and respectful of our home. more

We got a simple annual checkup from Schmidt Mechanical Group as part of our routine maintenance plan. The representative was helpful and did what we needed. He offered some additional recommendations for what I would need to improve the system. We weren't ready to make any changes at the time, but he left the information for us. Great Customer Service from Susan who answered the phone and professionally scheduled our service, and then on short notice rescheduled our service after a personal scheduling problem, to Quincy, the service technician, who showed up on time, and who was professional and courteous in handling our entire service call. Quincy professionally explained concerns about our HVAC unit so that we could easily understand current needs, and future needs down the road. He also took time to crawl up into our small attic, on a day that was 100 degrees outside, and must have been over 150 in our attic to carefully assess our aging duct work system. Great Job Schmidt...I would definitely have you back to service our HVAC, and will definitely refer you to our family and friends!!! more

The overflow pan in the attic had rusted through and water was leaking through the ceiling. After a complete examination of our ac/heating unit, inside and out, Rusty gave us a complete evaluation that resulted in replacement of our system. Rusty was what all business folks should be - helpful, thorough, and informative! We were able to make an informed decision regarding the A/C unit to have installed. Equipment and installers arrived earlier than we expected. Installers were very professional and very neat, cleaning each work area upon completion.
