I didn't have Schmidt Mechanical Group, Inc. install an air conditioning unit or something like that; it was just a service call. They were coming to make sure all of the equipment was up-to-date and functioning properly. They tested everything and found that everything met the standard. They recorded the conditions of the unit and what I needed to look out for in the future. They also told me what to do to maintain my unit's integrity. The customer service was excellent. They checked with me beforehand as far as scheduling a time and they called to make sure the time still worked for me. They called when they were on their way and they called post-service to make sure everything went the way I expected or desired things to go. more

Schmidt Mechanical Group came over to put in both an inside and outside unit. What stood out first was how clean and thorough they were. These were well-trained installers and technicians who could get everything done and cleaned up in one day. The price could have been a little lower, but I was still satisfied. more

They also came out and did the annual service recently. I've been a customer for about three or four years now. There is no confusion, no hidden fees. It's just what they tell it will be. These guys got to me quick! Decent pricing too. What I thought was going to cost hundreds ended up being a small part the technician had in the van that was only $40. Some people would have just replaced the part I thought it was and charged a fortune. I was even able to finish my pot of beans before the house got too hot. Now that is fast! more

I called Schmidt Mechanical Monday morning because our AC went out over the weekend. 100 degree weather. They sent a technician out on Monday and they had our AC back up and running before the end of the day. Schmidt Mechanical is amazing to work with, from the office staff to the technicians who are knowledgeable and friendly and they give you a full explanation of what is wrong and what needs to be done for the repair. I had Schmidt Mechanical Group (SMG) install a complete air conditioning system in our home. The people and company were a pleasant surprise to work with. The individual which came to our home was knowledgeable and courteous. He explained the advantages and disadvantages of different types of air conditioning systems. He also made it easy for my wife and I to make a choice between less expensive and or higher long term efficient equipment. We were unaware of the rebate program the city offered and were quite surprised to learn that the higher efficient units provided a nice rebate we took advantage of. When SMG's installation crew arrived on the day scheduled to my surprise prior to entering our house they placed booties on there work boots. This was comforting because my wife is very picky about her hard wood floors and the carpeting. They did an inspection of our ductwork and completed the equipment installation in a timely fashion. Further, they explained that I could expect a service technician out promptly to complete the startup of equipment. The technician showed up the same day and again boot booties before entry. He completed the start up and was easy to understand. He took time to explain how to operate the thermostat after he programmed the setting to my wife's wishes. Before he left he explained we would be receiving a visit from the city to complete an inspection of all installed equipment. Finally, Keith (the owner) helped with all of the rebate information and a clear explanation of how to apply for same. They also offered an extended service agreement (we have not signed up yet but will soon). I will use Schmidt Mechanical again and recommend it to anyone that asks. more

Schmidt Mechanical has installed 2 units in my home. The first was in my home that did not have central air. They installed a new unit and duct work. They did such a good job that I reciently used them again to install a seperate unit for a master bedroom addition. Both jobs were always kept clean and were on schedule. They were great from the initial evaluation, install and service as well. I highly recommend Schmidt Mechanical for any air conditioning and/or heating needs more
