LOVE IT 1/2/2011

This place is THE BEST to go to for a haircut. I went in for a hair cut with Rose, who is fun, young, fresh, and hip. She was so friendly and asked me what I wanted done. I was donating my hair to locks of love. She was so sweet and calmed me down because I was very nervous. I recently just cut off 15 inches and I have never felt better. I asked her what she thought would look good with my face shape and over all it was just a great experience! more

Loved it 12/27/2010

I was impressed with the entire service at 7. The facade is a little intimidating, but a lot of smiles on the way in helped relax me some. I was asked what I would like to drink, sat in the waiting area and about three minutes later, was brought a latte'. A really good latte actually. I booked my appointment in evening because the receptionist said the salon is busiest in the afternoon. I only waited a couple minutes before my stylist came over and greeted me. My trim didn't take too long, maybe 20 minutes or something. The stylist paid excellent attention to my cues regarding what I wanted and didn't want. At the end of the service, Jac walked me to the front of the salon, showed me which products she'd used on my hair and wished me a happy holiday. Good stuff all around for this place. more

Worst cut and color I have ever had 12/17/2010

Yesterday, I took a chance on a new salon, and today I am so sorry that I strayed from the Gary Manuel salon. I saw Lindsey, one of their ""senior"" stylists, and ended up paying top dollar ($245) for the worst cut and color I have ever had. I brought pictures of what kind of highlights I wanted. She dismissed them without even looking at them. She then chose two different highlight colors instead of the ones I had asked for. I even showed her a picture of how I normally style my hair. I told her that I just wanted a trim. She gave me the craziest choppiest layers instead. Like another reviewer stated, ""it is just hair and it will grow back,"" but I cannot let go of the fact that I trusted this person, and I payed a lot of money for the privilege, just so that I could look this terrible for a long time yet to come. I just don't understand how someone can be so deaf to what the paying customer is asking for. Lesson learned. Never trust an ugly stylist that has even uglier hair. It just can't end well, even in that price bracket. more

good stylist, but nobody can hear you 12/3/2010

i had my first haircut with Reagan and it turned out really cute. i had some apprehensions about trying a new stylist, but she did a really nice job. the salon is beautiful. the only complaint i have is that the music is too loud. it was difficult to actually talk to the stylist, because of the noise level. more

the worst haircut 11/28/2010

I recently had a haircut at Seven. I've hesitated writing a bad review since I know how they can affect the stylists, and and the business. However, I decided to do it, partially because it might be helpful for the salon owner to read it and it can certainly be helpful for the stylist. i had a haircut with one of their senior stylists recently, Reaghan. She was unfriendly, refused to listen to me, argued with me, and of course in the end gave me a bad haircut. I am not sure what a senior stylist means in their context. She had no idea how to talk to the customer, or more importantly listen to what the customer wants. In the end, it is only hair, and it will grow back, but now i have to be stuck with the really bad hair for a while, and she and the salon get to be stuck with this bad review. Perhaps time for a customer service training? Also, while you are at it, make sure you teach your stylists, especially senior stylists, HOW TO CUT THE HAIR! more

First Class! 10/25/2010

Do you look in the mirror and feel like a picture frame because your hair always looks the same? Well that's how I felt until Shannon from Seven gave me the courage to change up my hair style, giving me expert advice on how my hair best fits the shape of my face and features. I love Seven Salon the service is first class from the time you walk in the door until you leave with a big smile on your face. Seven Salon is Seattle & Bellevue's very best!! more

Love Jayme! 10/3/2010

I could write a book on the bad haircuts I've had over the years -- not anymore! Jayme is excellent! 7 Salon is a great experience. I would highly recommend! I get many compliments on my hair! more

Krystal at Seven is a Gifted Stylist 8/23/2010

I landed in Seattle (from DC)in great need for a cut and color. Based upon my experience yesterday all the positive things said are true. People were warm and friendly, and Krystal was excellent in terms of listening to what I wanted (and didn't want). The DJ was spinning old school disco and R&B - fun! The price is a little steep, but I thought worth every penny! more

Best Beats, Bobs n Bronzes around! 7/7/2010

This place rocked! I came here the first time because a stylist I met in a restaurant joined in a conversation with me. I gave her a coupon for the restaurant to save $20 and she gave me a free cut from her at Seven! So I went, and had color done too. Seven is at Pacific Place up on the second to top floor, there's a huge open reception area where they offer you chocolate, coffee, tea, or other beverage, the DJ spins some really nice beats (one of my favorite things about this place, a live DJ who has talent), and they use really great feeling products on your hair. I had my hair cut by Raye, who offered great suggestions about what I could do with my hair, the Bob turned out so damn sexy and sleek, I had a hard time not falling in love with myself! And the golden bronze and chestnut highlights just made it better. Plus, she was honest and fun to talk to. She'd never have given me a dorky cut, even if I begged. I have returned to this place a couple times, but really can't afford to be a regular. It's just a bit over the top on color. I'd go back if there was a deal or I was working FT again (soon!) because it'd be worth the splurge. Pros: DJ, free tea/coffee, great products and stylists! Cons: Pricey and they love to upsell ya! more

Haircuts worth a MILLION BUCKS! :) 5/20/2010

Im so tired of hearing how expensive Seven is...i thought I would try it..despite how ive been warned on the price...SOOOO worth it! Every penny...Ive never gone anywhere where I have felt comfortable telling the stylist to do what they wanted but after the consultation I knew I couldn't go wrong putting myself in his hands. I saw Glen...and just know I WILL be going back. i've received non-stop compliments and my boyfriend LOVES it ;) - you were right Glenny!!! Thanks a MILLION. Love the cut, love the place and love SEVEN! THANK YOU! Pros: music, pretty ppl - GREAT HAIRCUTS! Cons: hard to get into more

A good look every time 4/26/2010

This downtown salon does understand hair, fashion and the pulse of Seattle. They know how to make the most of your long locks. Literally, you can tell them a Seattle neighborhood that you want to ""look"" like, and they will know instantly what you mean, and they will do it. As in, ""I'd like to look a little Capitol Hill this time,"" or, ""I want the Belltown dark/light layers, please. At SEVEN, you can say it once, and it will be perfect. And, you will pay a pretty price for it. But hey, it's worth it to get what you want, right?\r Pros: fashion forward, great quality Cons: $$$$ and a bit pretentious more

Jayme is incredible! 4/17/2010

I see Jayme at Seven salon and she is incredible. I have naturally curly hair and it has always been very difficult for me to find a stylist who knows what they are doing with curly hair. I am also in my mid 20's and a high school teacher so I struggle with wanting to look professional but still maintain a youthful look. I am very busy between work and my practice schedule so I need something that is low maintenance and easy for me to recreate once I leave the salon. Jayme has always been able to create a look for me that works and that also gets me a ton of compliments. Jayme is a versatile stylist, she is capable of giving you exactly what you ask for or on days where you are frustrated with your hair and ready for a new look she is also very capable of creating a new style for you. I live in Vancouver, WA and it is definitely worth the drive for me to go see Jayme at Seven. Pros: amazing cuts for curly hair!!! more

Shannon is fantastic 3/15/2010

I'll take it. Coffee, rockin tunes and a new stylist that did an incredible job. My first experience at Seven surpassed expectations. I'm very happy with the work that Shannon did. The pricing is comparable to other high end salons and the atmosphere was energetic, without being overwhelming. I'll be back in 6 weeks for another cut!! more

NEW OWNERS!!!! 3/10/2010

Oh, I guess the terrible Solan procedures and hiring....came with the NEW OWNERS...Not what it is supposed to be like as per new ownership! It IS a SHAME that with the sale all things change, mostly for the worst. I would NOT recommend this place for anything other than a consultation, which by the way is FREE! WOW, imagine that, time not paid for, but with that you can get hopefully get some good advice and take it somewhere where you can afford to have it done, cuz quite frankly, you will be going back several times to have it fixed if you go there and be broke when your done and probably still be unsatisfied. Then have to go elsewhere anyways....\r Good luck with going down the tubes, 7 Salon, I wish you well in Hell. Pros: LATTE?LATTE? Cons: LOTS! more

Babe. Make me look good, babe. 1/27/2010

My stylist: \r I love you, Masae. All I have to say each time is ""Do what you want"" and I am happy 100% of the time. She is adorable, funny and will listen to all the drama, love, and greatness in your life. Basically she is like a hot shrink that makes you look hot too. Please go to see Masae. You will so agree.\r The salon:\r The new location is beautiful to say the least. Modern and sleek. A waterfall greets you as well as the well dressed receptionist. You are escorted to change and asked if you would like your latte soy or non fat. With a live dj spinning almost all the time there is never a quiet moment and you will pretty much be guaranteed to be dancing in your chair. Flawless service. Flawless beauty. 100% satisfaction. Pros: Masae more

Great Service: Thanks Glen! 12/9/2009

I've been going to Glen for about a year now!! And he is AMAZING!! He is great with different styles, and amazing with color! I am a natural brunette, and Glen took me blond. I have had many people think that blond was my natural color, which shows Glen knows what he is doing!! He is professional and playful! I highly recommend him if you are looking for a new stylist!! My hair was getting a little dry, Glen noticed it, and recommended the 7 brand conditioning mask Penetrate. Now my hair is soft and healthy. Thanks Glen! A little side note: The Solon has a very cool atmosphere.. I love that they have a DJ! Pros: amazing hair style/color more

I love it! 12/8/2009

I went to Seven Salon last month and I have decided to have appointment with Lindsay for haircut. She cut my hair perfectly! After having haircut, I had my appointment for the next 2 days for coloring. Usually I got color and highlight, but she suggested me only coloring. So, I tried her to color my hair and WOW! I LOVE MY HAIR COLOR!!!! it looks so natural and pretty...After thanksgiving holiday, I came back to college and some of the girls in dorm asked me where I got my haircut and color done! THEY LOVE IT! Its been a month and my hair still cute and its more pretty I guess...and the color is long lasting! so I do not need to go back to Salon for once a month just fixing my hair color! I LOVE MY HAIR LINDSAY! thanks!!!! :) She recommended some products and I bought all of them and in fact, my hair become healthier, shiny and more volume now ... HOW I LOVE SEVEN SALON'S product.. The salon is so young atmosphere. I think this is kind of Salon that I can give 5 stars!!! I love the SALON! almost perfect! However, the cashier confused me once because of gift card things, but I do not mind about it. The staff are friendly and welcome. I will go back to this salon again at least once for 2 - 3 months for haircut and color my hair! and yes, I have found stylish in Seattle already..Lindsay.. she got booked so fast! So I always book the appointment as soon as possible. Pros: my stylish and the salon more

Great Hair Staff! 12/2/2009

I went to this place for a stylish trim recently, and they were great. They didn't try to sell me a bunch of product I didn't want or reivent the wheel. Just a great simple finish, and located close to work downtown Pros: Friendly, professional, stylish more

Fantastic place for color and cut 11/2/2009

I have been going to Tony for 6 years now and I no longer spend time wondering what will make my hair look better. Strangers walk up to me to compliment me on my hair. I leave all my hair decisions up to Tony, one of 7's top stylists. That is what he is trained to do; cut for the shape on my bone structure and body and color for my skin tone and eye color. I plan to use Tony as our head hair stylist in the Bates Technical College fashion show at the Sewing & Stitchery 2010 show. Pros: Cut and color to make YOU look your best more
