Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain

The Buffalo winter was particularly harsh this year. We had our share of plumbing emergencies. The plumber arrived within the scheduled time. Mike (the plumber) explained to us the problem with our plumbing prior to beginning the work; there were no surprises. Mike made sure that everything was to our satisfaction before leaving. I would highly recommend Roto-Rooter for all your plumbing needs. We have used other plumbers in the past but I will only do business with Roto Rooter in the future. At 12:15 today, I noticed water in our basement. I told my husband that we needed a Plumber ASAP, as I was doing the laundry and could see that there was a problem somewhere! Our basement floor was wet and getting wetter by the minute, as the washer was spinning out. My husband called Roto-Rooters Plumbers in Buffalo, NY about 12:35. The sweet customer service agent that answered the call, said that there would be a plumber at our house between 1:00 and 3:00. At 1:07 the phone rang and it was the customer service person from Roto-Rooter to let me know that a Plumber was on his way! We were floored to think that it all happened so quickly! The plumber arrived here around 1:30, fixed our problem, and left within 45 minutes from start to finish. The plumber (Frank) was so very personable and super knowledgeable. Very nice man. He fixed us right up and needless to say...my washing machine is back in agitation mode and it isn't even 2:30 yet! We had a problem with our kitchen and basement sinks not draining. I called Roto-Rooter Buffalo at 11:30 in the morning and Frank, the plumber, was there by 2:00. He looked around at the plumbing for a couple minutes, suggested that we snake the sewer line and sure enough 30 minutes later our problem was resolved. After calling Roto-Rooter, a plumber technician from Buffalo, Frank, #5688, was at my door within 45 minutes. He quickly diagnosed my problem and finished the job in less than 1 hour. All in all, I'm very happy with the service, and will call this company again, when, or if, I have another problem. more

I'm giving them 3 stars because they were promt, at my house in an hour after I called! I had a main sewer line clog up at the trap,He was very knowledgeable and knew right where the problem was. My issue with them is that they were expensive for the work performed,it was a flat rate of $255 and only took him 30 minutes to snake the line from the trap in my front yard to the main sewer and up into my house! I called a couple other places that wanted only $89 but couldn't get to my house till the next day! I would go with someone else next time just because I felt I was taken to the bank for this easy fix! I guess that's the price you pay for quick service! But this needed immediate attention because I couldn't run any water or flush toilets untill the clog was fixed! more

We called Roto-Rooter to fix a gas leak near our furnace. Our plumber, Mike G., was professional and persistence. Mike found four additional leaks that needed to be fixed in order for our gas to be turned back on. He worked for twelve hour non-stop until everything was fixed. We had a problem with our sewer backing up into our basement wash tubs. My husband called roto-rooter plumbing and we had a service man at our door within 60 minutes. The man's name was Chad, he checked everything out and told us what our problem was. He fixed the problem successfully and was very efficient, and neat. In no time ,he was finished and on his way. This day was to be the first day of my much needed vacation. I awoke to my husband trying to manage the downstairs toilet not flushing well. Our decision without question was to call the plumber we have used in the past. That happened to be the Buffalo local service Roto-Rooter. The gentleman that arrived was very professional and understanding to our situation. He advised us as to a better choice of toilet paper to use and even cleaned up after himself. I was able to get Roto-Rooter on a Saturday afternoon promptly an hour after I called! He was down the street in Buffalo. That is SERVICE! Plumber Jim showed up and I told him all the snaking I had done, the drains that I had dismantled and where I thought the problem was...Jim to the RESCUE!!! Within a short time I was taking a shower (very much needed as I am NOT a plumber), running the dish washer and laundry all working in harmony! We live in Buffalo, NY, and already had a plumber that we were used to using. We had an issue with a leak in our basement and it turns out it was coming from our bathtub faucets, which needed to be totally replaced (so make a hole through the wall, etc.). We got a first quote from our usual plumber, and were about to accept. We thought however it seemed a little pricey, so decided to see if we could find another plumber in Buffalo to get a second quote fast. We found Roto-Rooter's web and thought it was really convenient because they could send someone out 7 days a week, 24 hours a day (it was Friday night when we were searching for someone to get a second quote, and we really wanted to fix our issue ASAP). When we called Rotor-Rooter to set an appointment, our first surprise was that they do not charge a service fee (our previous plumber charged us $32 just to come out and do the quote...). We were able to set an appointment right away on Saturday morning. That was also an awesome surprise, as it was within less than 12 hours of our call. So we thought: "OK, these guys don't charge any service fee and no surplus for Saturdays and Sundays, so they're probably much more expensive overall". But we at least wanted to get a rough estimate to see if our usual plumber had given us a fair quote or not. Well... on Saturday morning, the Rotor-Rooter plumber shows up, does his thing... and the quote was almost half less!!!! ($740 instead of $1,340!!!!). Needless to say, we had the job done with them :-) The guy who did it was also so nice and friendly and knowledgeable.... and clean!! I had never gotten a job done at my house with someone who wiped up the whole area like he did. It was almost as if there hadn't been any work done at all. Our new faucets are working great and look beautiful. I am so happy we gave these guys a try. Will definitely call them again for future needs :-) Obviously as you can tell, storngly recommend them as well :-D more
