I particicipated in the Positive Changes Hypnosis program for 12 weeks, faithfully listening to the custom made hypnosis CDs daily (at least once, often twice a day, as recommended). Initially, I did notice a change in eating behavior - cravings for sweets disappeared, I ate smaller portions and drank more water. However, I also noticed not making enough head way to lose much, if any, weight in 3 months which was very disappointing, considering those very convincing commercials shown on TV, making you believe that this will really work for you ---- or not! In that respect I have to agree with another reviewer (1 star) who stated that for everyone this weightloss program does work, there are probably many more it does NOT work for! That is my suspicion. I also have to agree with her re. the atmosphere at the center to a degree.... There definitely is pressure to get you signed up once an initial office visit is made, and the $$$ tag is not mentioned until the very end of the interview! Also, I have never heard anyone discussing the program in the reception area, everyone seems to be tight lipped (again, similar impression as the other - 1 star - reviewer).
So, all in all, I thiink it may work for some, but not for many more. It certainly has not worked for me, and the 5 pounds I DID lose last week (week #12) was due to the flu and that I hardly ate any food for a week but drank lots of fluids. Hey, there's a (cheap!) idea!
