My son did not receive all of the pictures I ordered from Photo Memories. The paper said if there are any problems, notify them within 14 days. I called that day! I left countless messages before going to the school. The photo person also contacted them. They responded by saying I would have them before Christmas. It is now March and I still do not have my pictures! I call every week; to no avail. The proised a refund, overnight photos, and return my call with more information. Never has happened! more

Worst Customer Service Ever!!!!! 8/22/2011

I received a pamphlet in the mail informing me that my son?s senior pictures were scheduled for August 1st. The pamphlet indicated that if that date would not work we were to call the phone number and reschedule. I have been calling for over 5 weeks now! Usually the phone just rings and rings and no one ever picks up. Occasionally the phone is picked up by an answering machine and on those occasions I have left messages asking someone to call me. No one has called me back and now school starts back in 3 days and their pamphlet states that all pictures must be taken before the school year begins. This is ridiculous! After reading all the reviews it is obvious to me that many people are dissatisfied with their customer service (or lack there of it). There are many qualified photographers in the area and I am going to call the school and request they pick another company. It would be nice to work with a company that is both professional and courteous. It is unbelievable that I have had to go thorough all of this just to try to give Photo Memories my business!!!! more

Worst people ever!! 10/20/2010

My daughter is in 8th grade. She had her pictures taken, the check was cashed and no pictures ever showed up. My daughter was told the pictures needed to be retaken because the first ones were no good! Funny because they are unable to produce the pictures originally taken. I called the company and the guy was EXTREMELY rude as though I had done something wrong. You cashed MY check buddy!! Concord needs to find another company. I called the school to complain and they stated they get complaint calls all the time!! That means it's time to change don't ya think!! more

Bad choice 12/8/2009

My daughter is in kindergarten. She wears glasses. When we received her pictures, the umbrella light was visible in her glasses. This should never happen. She has had her picture made many times and never had this happen. Re-takes were today and I had a hunch I should be there for them. I got there just as she was having her picture taken. The lady taking the picture was asking the teacher to take her glasses off. My daughter has one eye that crosses severely without her glasses on. I stepped in and told her not to. A man walked up behind me and told me there was NO way to take the picture without the glare showing. I explained to him that she had never had this happen with other photographers and then he said it was her glasses! My daughter is sensitive to the fact that she wears them and so many of the other kids don't. I could tell his comment made her sad. The lady took her picture a couple of more times tilting her chin and we got a good one. He was so rude. His customer service skills are horrible. I called Cabarrus County Schools to ask if there is another choice for school pictures and was told they have 3 more years on their contract. Now I have to worry for at least the next 3 years that an umbrella light will show up each time and I'll have this same argument with this very rude man. Cons: Poor customer service more

What a nightmare 10/25/2009

Getting my son's senior pictures taken has been a horrific nightmare. First of all they send you a card to tell you that sometime during the week of ""X"" your child is scheduled. I attempted to call for over a week to let the company know that we had our family vacation planned. You either left a message (which did not get returned) or you could not leave a message. After the 6th call I did leave a message verbalizing how frustrated I was. That call got returned and may I say ""WOW"". To say I got ""torn a new"" one is putting it mildly. Could not get my son's pics rescheduled. They would only retake during the school year.\r \r The picture remake day came and we did get the proofs about 2 weeks later. They were horrible. Now the fun has started with trying to get them retaken. Should be quite the adventure.\r \r Bottom line---Cabarrus County Schools needs to look into getting out of the contract they have with these people. It's a shame that this special time in our children's lives has to be documented by these people.\r \r Cons: too many more

dont use them 5/21/2008

Ok so here it is. The senior picture proofs were one sent to the wrong address, lost for weeks on end, and then finally they are trying to make me pay for the proofs after my son had already paid for them. They are also holding my sons cap and gown photos untill we ""pay"" for the proofs again even though he has paid 45 dollars for his cap and gown photos. This company honestly ticks me off and i am sad that the school uses them and i think we should find a different company to deal with. Pros: there is none Cons: every thing about them more

Worst school picture company EVER! 12/5/2007

Since moving here, I've had nothing but problems with this company! We are ""stuck"" with them as they have somehow tricked the schools into signing a long contract with them. The first year, they took one of my kid's picture, I saw it and bought it. But they LOST it before it went into the yearbook, so *poof*, he wasn't in the yearbook! The next year, they lost half the school's pictures and the entire school had to retake their pictures!! The 2nd picture of one of my kids was bad and we had it taken over, but they STILL used the bad picture in the yearbook, NOT the one I purchased. Also, all the pictures were so bad... there is severe eyeglass glare, where you can see the light umbrella reflection IN the glasses!!! Also, the color is never good... sometimes the tint is greenish, sometimes it's blueish... and so when you see the yearbook, it looks like a MESS!! Lastly, they are SO RUDE!! Last year I tried to go in for the retakes and get my child with special needs done before the rush of kids.... they refused to do it ""early"" and sat there to gossip! \r \r The schools really need to rethink who they are using. This company is a JOKE! They need to get their act together or change careers! Pros: Only one - it's taken at school so it's convenient Cons: Quality, lighting, staff, ability to not loose proofs... all are lacking!! more

Do Not Use This Company!!!! 10/3/2007

This company did the senior photos for my sons high school. They lost my proofs. Then they finally sent me a paper print of my proofs. When I ordered I called a few weeks later to check on the order and then they accused me of not paying for the order when my check had already cleared.They have not once said they were sorry, they have not taken responsibility, and above all they have NOT put the customer first. I am still trying to get my sons senior pictures!!!! more

unwilling to accept responsibility & rude supervisor 11/13/2006

Had extreme trouble trying to get an appointment for senior pictures. Even with proof that the oversight was theirs, they continually tried to put the blame back on me. Phone answering machine was so full I couldn't leave a message for 2 weeks, when I finally did, they did not return my call. When I did get through and spoke to the supervisor, she did not apologize for poor service and refused to accept any responsibility for their oversight; rather, she blamed my student & the school. I would advise parents whose schools use this photographer to request that the county change photographers. Cons: unwilling to admit any fault more

rude supervisor and bad picture 12/12/2005

I paid for pictures that are too embarrassing to even hand out to family members. I have called and spoken with a supervisor and am flabbergasted at her response. I asked my daughter while speaking with the supervisor if she was asked to take off her jacket and the supervisor said no child is going to respond truthfully when asked. My annoyance was at the supervisor and not my child and my child knows that. I am also completely offended at the fact that a complete stranger would make a judgment about my child and their truthfulness. I understand the policy according to the supervisor I spoke with that every photographer is mandated to ask the children to take their jackets off, I also understand human error. For what it actually costs you to retake the pictures, I can not believe that there would be a fee for this picture. more
