My daughter is in kindergarten. She wears glasses. When we received her pictures, the umbrella light was visible in her glasses. This should never happen. She has had her picture made many times and never had this happen. Re-takes were today and I had a hunch I should be there for them. I got there just as she was having her picture taken. The lady taking the picture was asking the teacher to take her glasses off. My daughter has one eye that crosses severely without her glasses on. I stepped in and told her not to. A man walked up behind me and told me there was NO way to take the picture without the glare showing. I explained to him that she had never had this happen with other photographers and then he said it was her glasses! My daughter is sensitive to the fact that she wears them and so many of the other kids don't. I could tell his comment made her sad. The lady took her picture a couple of more times tilting her chin and we got a good one. He was so rude. His customer service skills are horrible. I called Cabarrus County Schools to ask if there is another choice for school pictures and was told they have 3 more years on their contract. Now I have to worry for at least the next 3 years that an umbrella light will show up each time and I'll have this same argument with this very rude man.
