Avoid this place!! 8/24/2018

Find a dog-sitter on Craig's List instead of this place.\r \r Here's the short version:\r 1. I only got a fraction of my dog's food back and then blamed for bringing in my own food. It is basic knowledge not to drastically alter a dogs diet. Why weren't we told in the first place? Or why didn't they send it back when the dogs were dropped off?\r 2. I was misled about being reimbursed for the dog food they spilled.\r 3. I was promised the dogs would be housed together. They were not.\r \r Here's the long version:\r My husband dropped off my two dogs for their first stay. He took 2 types of food. One bag of Stella and Chewy's, and a 5.5 lb bag of Ziwi. Both foods are expensive, totaling just over $100.\r \r When I picked up the dogs, I had to ask for the remaining food. At first, they couldn't find it. Then, they explained the dogs ate all of the food. (The idea that both dogs under 20lbs ate 6lbs of food over 2 nights is laughable.)\r \r In my conversation with a manager (John), I learned the staff more

We sent our dog to Molly's in Landsdale as part of their boarding school program. John Bickel was his trainer and we couldn't say enough great things about him! We had an 18 month old black lab that we had recently rescued and we could not get him under control. John took him home with him every night to work with him there and also had our dog with him at the kennel during the day. When we picked him up after boarding school was over he was a brand new dog! He was so controlled and well behaved we couldn't believe the change. During the time John had our dog, he shared pictures and videos of his progress and it was unbelievable. He worked with us for 2 more weeks with private lessons following his initial training with. He taught us all how to keep up the training and discipline with our dog even after we brought him home. John was amazing and did such an incredible job on our dog, we would recommend him to everyone! We would absolutely bring every new dog we adopt to John! more

My dog loves this kennel. Anne at the front desk held my hand through the whole dayschool evaluation process. I was more nervous than my dog and my dog just loves her. I would recommend this kennel to any friend or family member. more

My husband and I are going thru a nasty divorce. So he wanted to hurt me by taking my dog to a kennel and not tell me where she was. I was heartbroken, and called EVERY kennel with 30 miles of my house, even the SPCA. Of course I was crying and upset but every kennel that I spoke to was very understanding and checked to see if my dog was at their kennel. (keep in mind my dog was gone for DAYS) All the kennels were understanding but one, Molly's Country Kennels, as I did with the other kennels, I explain the situation that my husband took my dog to hurt me. I even told them that I had her avid microchip number that she was register under me and no one else. Well, I want everyone to know Molly's Country Kennels refused to help me. And guess what, she was there the whole time ! I'm sad that they knew my dog was there and knew I was upset and refused to help me. Anybody who loves animals should have understood the situation...right? more

Warning: no potty breaks! Privacy issues, too. 8/24/2011

Warning: understand their policies before you leave your dog there. It is their policy (ask them!) to leave the dogs in indoor cement kennels 24 hours a day unless you pay for extra ""playtime activities."" They do not let them out to go to the bathroom!! Says the employee, ""oh, he can just go in the kennel, and we will clean it up."" This is their policy! My housebroken dog would make himself miserable trying to hold it! Yes you can pay to have the dog walked/let out (it adds up) but even that, the kennel considers three outings in a day generous and no outings happen after five pm. So don't leave your dog there if he can't hold it from 5pm till the next morning. more

Best Place for my dog ! 2/28/2011

My dog loves this place and so do I. I travel alot for work and have lived in three states Molly's is by far the best facility I have used. I have already reccomded a close co-worker to them and she also loves the place. more

Best place for me and my dog and now my cat too. 2/27/2011

I love this place and so does my dog. Buddy, my dog drags me in the office and tries to get behind the desk with the staff every time we go there. That behavior makes me feel great because I know he wants to be be there with them and is having a good time. I just also boarded my cat this last stay because it was a longer trip this time and she also came home happy and I know she can be very nasty at times. They said she warmed up to one person more than others so that person did most of her care and that made me feel wonderful. more

I worked at Molly's and this is what I saw 2/12/2011

I'm in Highschool, and I worked at Molly's over the summer last year. I was very skeptical because this was my first job and I always linked kennels with dogs locked up all day and dirty. Well that wasn't the case at all. Every day every dog pen is completely washed and disinfected. They then get a fresh bed and food. Also, I was a walker and I know how much effort we put into walkin the dogs. We walk them all around the property and let them interact safely and have a good time. Also, the Guy who wrote the Definetely Not Recommended review, he was there while i was working. He was being a complete a*shole and b!tch to John (the guy at the counter). We serve customers by their order, if you call, then you're just as important as when you're there. John was helping a customer and this guy wouldn't settle down. Also, his dog was scheduled for a bath, but we always bathe the dogs right before pickup. Well he decided to come way early and didn't call. So we had to scramble the poor stressed out dog into the tub and give him a bath. Then the guy just stormed out. This dude was nuts! Over all, I like the whole Molly's operation and plan on working there again next summer. more

Very Happy with this place !!! 12/26/2010

This is my first review of a business but I have to say I was so worried when I knew I had to board my baby. I had never left her before. The staff was so nice and warm and when I left her she wanted to be with them and when I picked up today she was happy to see me but also happy with the staff. They all were very good at what they do. They really know dogs and made my dog and me feel good about leaving my baby. more

My dogs love this kennel and staff 12/12/2010

I picked up my dogs a couple of days ago from boarding after a long week. I decided to write this after see Molly's facebook page. The woman in the office is always nice to me even if I am in a crabby mood from a bad week. She lets me vent to her about my issues and always gives me a way to look at the better side. She also pointed out to me once how my dogs are unconditional even when I am in a bad mood. Today I realized that even when she could be having a bad day she manages to make mine better. I have been using Molly's for a few years now and my dogs love going and they love to see her. About a year ago she had suggested in a very friendly way making it a point to not offend me that I change their dog food so my dogs who were usually thin filled out better. Not only did the food change make my dogs gorgeous they also poop alot less. This kennel is wonderful and their staff is incredible. I am glad I have this place as part of my dogs lives. more

Awsome Place--- plus 12/11/2010

I have not written a review before but I am so glad I came on here to do so. Because when I read the review ""Definitely NOT recommended"" I realized I was behind this man in line and he was a complete ASS. He is not telling the truth. The staff perosn at the desk was on the phone when we walked in and motioned he would be right with us. This man acted like a child in the waiting area- slamming thiings, slamming his hand on the counter, yelling ""there is a real customer right here in front of you"" in the staff person's face while he was trying to finish with the customer on the phone. The person had to put the phone on hold and ask this man to stop behaving like that which he only stopped for about 2 min then started again. I was embarrassed because when it was my turn the staff person asked if I was with that man and I snapped ""Oh my god no I am not"" he then apologized for that mans behavior and I told him that man should be apologizing and I can not believe you took his dog. more

Cannot recommend to any friend or family... 11/22/2010

This review is about their boarding "service" only.\r From my rating you can tell that I was/am not happy from the ?service?. I am especially not happy about the state that I found my dog in at pick-up.\r \r 1 - Customer Service: When I took my dog to check-in for his 2 day stay, I was made to wait 15 minutes before anybody would talk to me. Evidently their phone calls are more important than the person who is standing there who already has a reservation made. Also, I got there 30 minutes early when picking him up expecting that I?d wait. There were quite a few people in the office. They didn?t open the door until 2 minutes past the time they advertise. I?d expect that from government agencies and the post office, but a private business? I dont think they would have lost much if I picked up my dog 10 minutes early?\r 2 - Pricing: They have a nightly fee, which ONLY includes the cage/pen that the dog is in. Even if you bring your own food they charge you $2.50 per feeding. Yes, yo more

Even if you bring your own food they charge you $2.50 per feeding. Yes, you pay for your dog to eat your food. They have walks for 5-10-15 min durations, so your dog could be stuck in his pen for 23hrs 45 minutes if you ?only? paid $10 extra per day. Their 1 to 2 hour activities start from $20 and up (on top of the nightly rate). The biggest concern to me was that they charge FULL boarding rate for the day that you are checking OUT your dog even if you get him at 11am. Most places will only charge for activity rates (i.e. daycare). How would you like it if your hotel charged you for the night of the day you check out? 3 - Activities: Upon check-out, I could not get a single word of feedback about how my dog did. They could not report anything to me. All I heard was ?well we don?t have any notes about him up here so that?s a good sign?. Well, did he go on the trails? Did he interact with other dogs? Was he able to sleep? Did he have accidents? Was he scared in the kennel environment? 4 - When I picked him up, he was VERY scared, his fur was sticky all over the bottom part of his body and he smelled like urine among some other strong/unfamiliar odors. I asked if he had an accident, and they only said they didnt see any evidence of that. So where did the stickiness come from? ?He might have gone in the pool? but when I asked them on check-in they said that the pool activities weren?t available because the pool was closed. And what do you mean he ?might have?? I thought these dogs were being treated like family? And how can I trust now that he actually did take part in any of the activities that I signed him up for? Overall, I did not see any evidence of my dog being treated like family. I had to tell them his name 4 times before they knew who I was there to pick-up. And this after I?d called an hour ahead of time to let them know I was coming. The only reason I am writing this negative review about them was because I had such a high expectation from reading the other reviews on Molly?s. I was beyond disappointed when I found my dog in the state that he was in after paying $60 per night!! I would NOT recommend Molly?s boarding to any friend or family. Also, while picking up I was given a ?coupon? for 5 dollars off next time if I brought in a print-out of my ?positive feedback on Facebook for Molly?s?. I just hope that my dog can forgive me for whatever he went through over the weekend! more
