Tina's great!Her creativity and haircutting abilities are well worth the hour and a half drive to Salon Mingle from where I live. The Salon is super clean and everyone there is very courteous and make you feel comfortable. Tina's highlights are unmatched. She knows exactly what shade to use to enhance your skin tone and make thin straight hair look fuller. more

I write a guide book called Savvy In The City and I now must tell you about Collette at Minge. She is a true artist with a great ability to do color, cut and all the while keeping the health of the hair in mind. I really think she in one of the best in the whole city. And, BTW, she is a very relaxed and cool person too. High style, low maintence, and great salon. What more could you want? Pros: Great color and Cut more

For Color, Cut, and Hair Extensions, TINA, is the BEST! 8/2/2006

I am always coloring my hair, and Tina always picks a beautiful color and does gorgeous, natural highlights everytime. She trims my hair and styles it perfectly, whether I want it straight or curly. Tina also recently added hair extensions to my hair for fullness. They added some additonal length as well. Noone could believe that I had hair extensions! The color matched my highlights perfectly, and they looked so full, long and healthy and natural. I love them! I would recommend Tina for any color, cut, styling, or hair extension service. She is so sweet too. She listens and does what you really want. Pros: Service, I've never had to wait. The shampoo is great too. Cons: none more

Quality without attitude! 7/26/2006

I showed up a half hour late and they didn't even flinch. They welcomed me in, offered me something to drink, gave me the best wash ever (thanks for the massage!), followed by a wonderful cut. Everyone was so sweet! I've gone to so many salons where everyone was so into themselves they couldn't pull their heads out of their asses to strike up some friendly conversation. Tina (who is WONDERFUL!) spent well over an hour just on the cut! I brought something very difficult to the table (a short choppy cut) and she carried it out flawlessly. She shared tons of tips about how to keep my hair looking good. Go here, you wont regret it! Pros: Friendly and Experienced Staff, Not crowded more

The Tao of Tina! 6/25/2006

Finding the right hairstlist/colorist can be a lifetime struggle so when a friend recommended Tina a few years ago, I thought why not, my old stylist moved away, the hairstyletrons at the pricy upper eastwest salons or the downtown hiptrip backhole were causing me to choose between $150 trim or groceries that week. After Tina cut and shaped my mop and mixed a cool new red shade for my hair, all i could think was where have you been all my life! If you have curls treat yourself to her blowout, my hair was so straight and sleek I made new friends! For once a salon where you really can sit back, relax, sip your green tea, and enjoy the experience. Ever found going to the hair salon stressful ... well NOT HERE. This is pure therapy. Everything is very subtle - non-invasive! You will leave the salon feeling your best. Tina has a magic eye to set your colour and style in place in a way that it really enhances your look. You don't have to worry about the end result, you will be thrilled. Oh and did I mention the head massage - you truly are in good hands. Enjoy. more

Hair-gasm 6/20/2006

I once suffered a horrible haircut that scared me so much, I didn't get my haricut for two years. Until a friend of mine recommended I see Keiko. That's when I got the best hair cut I've ever had. She is even great with my curly hair- which is hard to find. I've sworn by Keiko for almost two years now and I always love the cut and color. Let KEIKO work her magic on your hair! Tina came highly recommended from one of my closest firends, and I'm so glad I found her. I wouldn't dare have anyone else touch my hair now! Tina seems to know exaclty what to do to make you look your best. In addition to a great cuts & color, the salon has a great environment. The head massages alone are worth the trip! I highly recommend both Tina and the salon in general to anyone looking for a fantastic style without paying outrageous prices. more

The atmosphere in the salon is clean and cozy. Tina was good colorist, she did an excellent work on my hair and that's why I keep going back to the salon. The shampoo was also good and relaxing. I'm always satisfied everytime I visit the salon.. more

Tina was recommended to me about 5 years ago. I have gladly followed her from a couple other salons in order to continue having her cut and colour my hair. She is fantastic, warm and very talented. She always listens to my requests, makes great suggestions, and manages to give me the cut and colour I am looking for. Fortunately for me, Tina has surrounded herself with great people and going to Mingle has been a pleasure. Mingle is a friendly, professional and positive place. Wonderful Salon conveniently located in mid-town! 3/23/2006

You don't have to travel too far from the office if you work in mid-town and are looking for a top-notch salon. Everyone at Salon Mingle from the receptionist to the hair washers are warm, friendly and accommodating. A co-worker recommended Tina for color and it was one of the best recommendations ever. She has a great eye for color and helps figure out the look you are trying to achieve and steers you in the right direction. I always leave satisfied.... more

I have been the victim of many different salons. I have paid way too much money for bad haircuts/coloring/etc. This will not be your experience at Mingle. I just searched for salons on citysearch and found this place to be conveniently located. I'm extremely picky with my hair and was hoping for someone to follow my instructions to the tee. Tina came highly recommended, so I booked my appointment with her. She was fabulous! We were completely on the same wavelength, and she gave me an unbelievable haircut, better than I could have hoped for.
