I have had my hair colored and highlighted at Salon Mingle several times. I have worked with Sheila. She is so nice, and very conscientious. The staff is lovely..getting hair wash...

Tina is a wonderful hair colorist 1/24/2006

Going to Mingle is a real treat: they offer you fresh green tea, wash your hair for a long time with a relaxing massage and then Tina makes you look like a star! If you need blond highlights go see her, she will make you look like a natural blonde. She can also do beautiful hair styles for a special occasion. The staff at Mingle is professional, attentive and discreet. more

Michio is great! 1/20/2006

I was surprised to see all these references to Tina and Henry, but no Michio! He has been my stylist for three years, following several disasters at several "reputable" NYC salons. I arrived at him through a referral from a friend whose hair style I admired. Michio is professional, skilled, pleasant, efficient, and works with his clients to achieve their goals over time (eg. growing hair long, correcting someone else's styling mishap, etc). He is Japanese, which does not mean he is limited to cutting straight hair - mine is curly and he does a fine job with it. Excellent service 1/9/2006

I got my hair done here in November and I loved it. Tina did an excellent job with my cut and highlights. The staff was very helpful and they answered my questions without making me feel like I had to buy something. I will definitely be back! Pros: professional staff, Tina's expertise more

Tina - great colorist and stylist 1/9/2006

I am so happy to have found a salon in midtown that provides great service at a reasonable price. Mingle has that wonderful professional yet warm and relaxing atmosphere Japanese salons are known for. The shampoo alone is an experience, not something to rush through. I followed my stylist/colorist to Mingle and highly recommend you ask your her, Tina. She really listens to what you want and can maintain as far as color goes and she gives a great cut as well! If you are looking for a reasonably priced, fabulous cut and color, look no further than Tina at Salon Mingle. I discovered Tina over a year ago when I approached a stranger on the subway whose color I admired. She led me to Tina and I have been a devoted client ever since. I have since spread the word to colleagues, friends and family, and we are all now gorgeous blondes...thanks to TINA!! Tina and Varvara are the best 12/18/2005

Tina's highlights are absolutely the best. My sister who lives in France cannot find a stylist who could do her hair like Tina does. The service in the salon is great too: including fabulous green tea served in a stylish cup. I also was truly impressed with the eye-brow specialist, Varvara. I have very straight eye-brows, and, until Varvara none of the stylist could get any arch out of them. To compensate for that, they just made my eye-brows thin. I went to see Varvara on Tina's recommendation, and now I DO have an arch! Now, that my eye-brows are growing into the arch shape, I cannot wait to see Varvara next time. TINA: YOU GO GIRL!!! 10/31/2005

I would have followed Tina anywhere, but Mingle turned out to be a great choice. Their personnel are super-friendly without being obtrusive and the atmosphere is very pleasant. But the best of all is TINA. She is a beyond-talented expert colorist, who takes great pride in her work and gives top advice and picks the optimum color for her clients. The execution is flawless; youll leave the salon looking better than new. In addition, she is a very sweet person and makes for an enjoyable visit to Mingle. Good Stuff 10/4/2005

As you can see, I do highly recommend this salon, and in particular I recommend Tina as well. I was with her at a previous salon and she provides NYC cuts at reasonable rates and she listens to what her clients want which I think is key is developing a relationship with a good stylist. Also, the women who shampoo are great even giving a little shoulder massage! And the overall service here is great too - the receptionist is always extremely nice and accomodating. more

My stylist and all-around great lady, Tina, recently moved to Salon Mingle. I have been with Tina for years now, and was excited to follow her to her new "home." I wasn't disappointed - Tina continues to work her magic at Mingle - making be a beautiful blonde as only she can. I highly recommend Mingle, and, in particular, Tina. I would not trust anyone else with my locks! more

Not to be missed 9/22/2005

My stylist & colorist Tina moved to Mingle and of course I moved too! This is a really great salon, stylish and sophisticated yet a relaxed environment. You will be treated as a welcome guest from the second you enter. The shampooing & head massage are really fab. The haircut and color is excellent. If you are looking for a great color ask for Tina and she will pick out the right color for you and give you a trendy hair style too. Not to be missed. Oh Henry 8/23/2005

Henry has been making me beautiful for years and I'm so excited that he has found salon Mingle. Henry gives the best classic- chic cut in the city, and at his suggestion Keiko did my color, which added the perfect touch to my ultra trendy style. The price and the atmosphere just add to the overall pleasurable experience. The scalp massage with every shampoo is to die for. Oh Henry, you did it again ! I am forever yours. I visited Henry for the first time via a gift certificate - and I was blown away. His creativity and skill gave me a new look i never thought i could achieve. I'm hooked. ingle is an excellent salon. The place is clean and the staff is very friendly. Henry made me feel like his only client, an absolutely remarkable hair dresser! He's got the stylish edge, yet doesn't make you feel silly about asking for something new. The cut that he gave me is trendy, yet not something over the top that I cant maintain. I will definitely be going back to him. more
