My previous hairstylist for 5 years had to go back to Japan, and she introduced me to Sayuri. At first, I was totally bummed about the whole situation, but Sayuri's talent and her personality made me happy at our 1st session. She is not only skillful, but also friendly, sweet, funny, and polite. She is also fashionable( in fact, she is on "the Sartorialist" website!!!), and she designs a great line of accessories which are sold at the salon. I cannot forget that Sayuri did a fantastic job for my wedding hair, which made me confident and sexy, and my husband loved it! Anyone who wants to change your hair style dramatically, go to Sayuri. Anyone who loves to keep the similar style but wants a little twist each time, go to Sayuri. She will give you a great style, and Salon Mingle will treat you very well. more

When it come to my hair (as we all are) I am very picky and demanding. It took me years and years to find a stylist and salon I could trust. Sayuri at Salon Mingle is consistently meticulous, skilled & perfect every time. Her genuine personality & super friendly staff also makes my experience worth the price. I would recommend Sayuri if you are looking for the best all around stylist who will satisfy your needs. She is the best for me. Sheila is great and Salon Mingle is a keeper for me! 1/19/2010

I had never committed to a specific stylist before, but Sheila done a wonderful job in my opinion and so I keep coming back! Her highlights last me for months, which I appreciate and I trust her opinions and suggestions for making adjustments that would suit my hair as well as current trends. The fact that she listens to what I want is important to me as well, so I don't get surprised at a haircut I didn't want! She makes great suggestions in line with my preferences and lifestyle. I believe she really cares about her clients and I recommend her to anyone! more

Stacia is the BEST 1/9/2010

Stacia at Salon Mingle is awesome. Everytime I go to her, she hits it out of the park. I explained to her that I wanted to grow out my hair, and she has not only completely understood that and given my great styles while it grows out -- she recognized a bad haircut I got months ago, and is fixing that too! It's amazing how much she knows abour hair! She is young, and totally cool -- really gets it! She's really easy to talk to, which saves a lot of the awkward chair silence that can happen when you get your hair cut. The assistant who shampooed my hair gave me a great shampoo and massage, and the whole staff was so nice, accomadating, and makes sure that you are well-taken care of! I absolutely reccommend this salon -- and STACIA-- to everyone! You won't be disappointed! more

Great Haircut! 1/5/2010

I recently had my hair cut with Stacia, and she did an amazing job! She really listened to what I was looking for, and took her time to make sure it looked great. The entire staff at Salon Mingle is extremely nice and helpful, and the salon itself is not stuffy at all, like a lot of Manhattan salons can be. Awesome hairstylist!! 1/4/2010

I recently went to salon mingle for a haircut, Stacia was sooo nice to me as was the rest of the staff..great customer service, great experience overall! I went in looking bland and came out looking like Anne Hathaway from the Devil Wears Prada...I felt AMAZING everyone has given me nothing but compliments!! All I have to say is I feel chic...chic..chic..n if your looking to feel the same way I suggest you go see Stacia at Salon Mingle!! I've never felt better : ) more

Great stylist at midtown west salon 12/21/2009

I had an up-do done this past Saturday by Stacia at Salon Mingle. First of all, the salon s so professional and welcoming and the lovely lady who shampooed my hair also gave me an impromptu massage which was uber relaxing! And on top of that, I LOVED my hair! I gave Stacia a description of what I wanted and she ran with it and gave me a creative, cool style that was elegant and went perfect with a halter dress I wore to a wedding at the Boathouse. Stacia has also cut my hair and styled it and I was very pleased with the outcome. In fact, I booked another appt in early January with her. I would absolutely recommend this talented stylist as she is young, hip and pays attention to what you want. You will not be disappointed! Great Hairdresser- Amazing cut & color 12/17/2009

I had the most amazing cut & color from Stacia. I am pretty open to do whatever on my hair, but always like suggestions. I have always been a blond, but in the past few years my hair has gotten a lot darker. Stacia suggested I go back to my light blond base, and put platnium highlights in my hair. I told her to do it... my favorite place, apart from NYC, is the beach, so why not!!! My hair turned out AMAZING... I have gotten so many compliments on it... it is the perfect color and makes me so happy... a touch of summer on these cold days!! I also, got a great hair cut from her... my hair is kind of short and flippy, but I tend to straighten it every day, so I wanted a great blunt cut, with it shorter in the back and with some great bangs. The haircut is perfect... I am so happy with it, and I know it is one of those haircuts, that will look good, no matter what the length, until my next cut. I highly recommend Stacia and this salon!! Best Color and Cut combination in the city 11/16/2009

The colorists at this midtown follicle retreat are the best the city has to offer. Many are from some top name salons in the area and have landed here because of the pride in their craft and respect for the owner. Go see Sheila at Salon Mingle! 11/14/2009

I have always had platinum blonde hair, but about a year ago now I found out I was expecting and decided to go dark during my pregnancy. Since having the baby, I've tried to get back my platinum hair and have had no luck. I went to two high profile salons in NY and all I kept getting were sets of high-lights when all I wanted was my hair to be bleached. I came across Salon Mingle and set up a consultation with Sheila. After discussing my issues with her I knew she was the one that would do the job. She was amazing! She cleared her day for me and was so patient. She bleached my hair twice, toned, conditioned and best of all gave me the best haircut i have ever had!!! Please go see Sheila if you want a make over or just feel like a rock star! I have gone to several salons in the city and never been quite happy with my highlights. A friend recommended Sheila to me, and I was thrilled when I left there! My color not only turned out great, but continued to look great for several months! Also I have curly hair and she gave me a fabulous cut! I am definitely returning to Salon Mingle! Salon Mingle + Dawn = A Great Experience 7/30/2009

I was looking for a new salon in the city after a couple of bad experiences at my prior salon. I found Salon Mingle on citysearch and saw great reviews about Dawn so I decided to give her a try. She was fabulous. My hair was suffering from an awful haircut that I was trying to grow out. Dawn brought my hair back to life. I have received so many compliments on my hair. good experience at Mingle 7/15/2009

I moved to NYC from Massachusetts in September, and struggled to find a good place for getting my highlights done (surprisingly this was easier in Mass. than in New York). My best friend flew in from LA with her young daughter. They were referred to Salon MIngle by my best friend's sister-in-law. When we got together that night I could NOT believe how great they both looked. It is SO hard to find a good salon these days - where you can get both your color and your cut at a reasonable price in a conveniently located area with a zen-like setting (I felt like I went to the spa for the day. Michio gave me a precision cut and Sheila gave me the most beautiful color with the softest highlights. I have never had so many compliments on my hair. And let's face it - if your hair doesn't look great, you don't look great. Pros: Talent, Service, Environment, Price Cons: None more

After reading other great reviews about Salon Mingle online, I decided to go in one day and just talk to Sheila about fixing this horrrible haircut I had gotten from a salon in Astoria. She sat down and talked to me. I ended up letting her cut it... Sheila fixed this horrible haircut! She is really awesome! I will NEVER go anywhere else! She listens and communicates.
