Was a little scared from all the poor reviews... 2/10/2008

... but figured how bad can it be? Even if the food and service was to be poor... there's still the view and a few cocktails to look forward to. Well... the food was OUTSTANDING and the service was exceptional. Obviously everything changes over time, but as of right now... the place is right on! I look forward to my return. PS - Best Risotto I?ve had west of the north end (Boston)! Pros: view, food, service Cons: it's not in my backyard more

Total waste of money! 1/6/2008

Nothing at Geoffrey's is worth half the price they charge. The lobster bisque is horrible! I read the previous reviews and thought, are there different chefs and manager that account for the outrageously different reviews? Then it dawned on me, Geoffrey's is adding in their own review in order to offset the true reviews of how terrible this place really is. It's a fairly popular thing for restaurants to do these days. I went at 7 pm on Saturday night and there were only four other couples in the whole place! You'll never find this restaurant with this chef on any top restaurant lists. 'Nuf said? Oh, surf and turf ... $77! OMG! Pros: None Cons: Well, with no pros everything here is a con. more

This place has an awesome view if you can get a table closest to the water. The service was great. Our waiter was friendly, nice and very upbeat. We had appetizers and dessert. Great view, great food, great service 9/18/2007

I took my mom here last Saturday for brunch. It was a beautiful day and the view here is amazing. We had the shitake mushroom omlette and the crab cake benedict. Both had amazing taste and were beautifully presented. We tried two mojitos- the pomegranete and watermelon- and both were really really good. Our server was very pleasant and attentive. Overall, a very enjoyable experience and it was very quiet with not many people there. Which brings me to my one criticism: there were not many people there, and I think it is fairly obvious that while is the food is very good here, people come for the view. With that said, the hostess kept trying to seat people near the back of the restaurant, they would request to be seated near the front and a slight confrontation would ensure. It was definitely distracting. Otherwise, though, we both had a great experience and will come back again! Pros: Food, ambience, view, service... more

Mediocre Food, Horrible Service -- Save your money and time 8/22/2007

Went here on a weekday and was given a table away from the patio rail. Politely asked if any other tables were available and was told by the stuck-up hostess (she should be fired) that every other table was reserved -- even though it was a weekday and there were a dozen tables open. We got up to leave and guess what: suddenly the manager came out and another table was available. When we got to our new tablem, we waited a long time for the waiter to take our order. The waiter took our order only after I made eye contact with him and flagged him down. The food itself was mediocre (the lobster bisque is horrible) and not worth the high prices. There are a lot of better places than this. You can get better food, better service, and even a better view at a lot of other restaurants. Not recommended at all. more

Fantastic!!!! I reccently attended a friend's special event and was blown away by not only the view but the food and the service as well. We had such an amazing time. From the moment we entered this costal hideaway we treated like celebrity's. I'm so glad I found this special place. The worst and unfriendliest restaurant ever... 7/8/2007

People at this restaurant are extremely racist...We are Persian-Americans, and we were treated extremely horrible and unprofessional at this restaurant...The manager was extremly rude, and the hostess was even ruder than him...We have contacted them several times to discuss this matter with them, but they have never returned our calls...We are professional people and we serve this country as great as other American citizens. We are proud to be Persian-Americans, but this style of treatment is totally unacceptable in the type of society we live in, which is so diverese and multi-cultural...We do not recommend this restaurant to anyone!!! Fabulous night!! 7/3/2007

My husband and I ate here Saturday night. We arrived at 6pm they parked our car immediately, we were seated immediately and what a table it was. Gorgeous view of the Pacific. We had very polite waiters. We started the evening off with a couple of " Kisses By The Sea" drinks with an order of Crab Cakes that were devine. The dinner bread is delicious. We also ordered the Lobster Bisque to share and it was wonderful. I ordered the Curry Prawns and they were perfect, just the right amount of curry. I also left room for dessert and had the Apple Tart which wasn't as amazing as I had heard. All in all we had a great evening. It was worth every cent.
