Disappointed Sixteenth Birthday... 1/5/2004

We took our daughter to Geoffrey's for her sixteenth birthday on a Thursday. We all had terrible overcooked steaks, the vegetables were so brown that they were unidentifiable, and our waiter never returned to the table after our main entrees were served. Great view. Poor service. Bad steaks. Stick with cocktails and appetizers. Ms Daisy Malibu, CA more

Romantic, delicious 8/13/2002

What could be more romantic than overlooking the Pacific Ocean and hearing the waves crash below you at sundown? Add to that outstanding food and service. Expensive, but worth it. Pros: Ocean view, great food, great service more

I have no idea what the previous posters are on about. Each time I've travelled to LA, I've always stopped off at Geoffrey's. The food and service are superb. Combine that with the great view, you are in for a nice and relaxed meal. From what I've seen of Malibu restaurants, this one has them beat hands down. It's not cheap but you don't feel ripped off either. I highly recommend the desserts and speciality entrees. Pros: food, ambience, service Cons: valet only parking, crowed on weekends more
