Best

I have been going to Dick's since I was a kid. I live on the Eastside but still drive over a couple times a month to Seattle just for the food. Awesome

Worst

These fries are so heavy and greasy that they may actually drip if you squeezed them- really gross if you ask me!

Keep On Driving!! 7/6/2006

I have no idea why this place is so 'legendary'. The food is terrible. The burgers are small and lack Pros: None. Cons: TASTE. The taste says it all. more

The Worlds Best Burger 6/3/2006

I grew up by the Dicks on 45th. I have moved out of state now but every time I come home Dicks is the first place I go. My family knows that I go there every day while I am in town. I have wanted to open up a franchise where I live but I have been told it is impossible. The Dicks Deluxe is the Worlds Greatest Burger. Pros: inexpensive, open late, menu stays the same more

tastes good if your drunk 5/24/2006

Eating at Dicks can only be likened to eating the worm at the bottom of a bottle of Mescal. You do it cause they talked you into it or you do it cause its the tradition. The help acts like Dicks is the burger Mecca of the universe. Dicks is McDonalds without ambition. Asking for mustard on your burger gets the kind of reaction you might get if you asked the Pope to endorse abortion. The best part of Dicks is the exit that takes you away from this dive. Pros: not going there Cons: thinking this is good more

affordable but very busy 4/17/2006

cheap and affordable.... fries are real potatoes not frozen....a little on the greasy side hamburgers are great.....get a deluxe...... Instead of a soft drink .....try there milk shake or a root beer float....they are very good ...althougth the lines are long it moves very quickly.....parking is sometimes a real hassle Pros: price, real potatoes more

Fries 3/28/2006

I grew up eating these burgers and loved them. Returning as an adult I find the burgers average and the fries disgusting. The fries are so greasy they are limp from all the oil. You can see all the grease staining the bag as you walk away. Yuk! But it is affordable. Pros: prices Cons: GREASE more

local flavor, big taste 1/23/2006

If you only have 4 dollars, you will eat well at Dick's walk in burger joint in Wallingford. You don't have to drive, walk up, order and within minutes you have fresh (not frozen) fries and a choice of two burgers. Been around over 50 yrs, prices havent changed much. A working class place for any body. more

Seattle's Dicks is one of the best! 7/29/2005

California may have its ""In-n-outs"", but Seattle has Dick's. If you want delicious burgers & fries at low prices, this place is unmatched. The service is quick, the prices are reasonable, and they must put some sort of secret ingredient in their burgers that make you keep coming back for more. And their concept has not changed in over 50 years! IF you are fast-food afficionado, Dick's is a must-stop in Seattle. For those trying to find 'em, check out Capitol Hill, Queen Anne, Wallingford, and Lake City. Pros: great taste, good price, quick service more

Best Burger Ever! 7/21/2005

I have had hamburgers all over the world, from $40 hamburger in England, to a $.20 burger in Peru, and Dicks is by far the best burger for the money. Delux, fry and vanilla shake is $5.14, and all are spectacular! Pros: Good, Cheap, Quick more

Nothing beats Dick's 6/15/2005

The Deluxe is awesome, the fries the best, and the shakes hand-dipped. You can't beat the Dick's dining experience! Pros: Inexpensive more

Dick's Drive In is a timeless classic 6/15/2005

The great thing about Dick's Drive In is the excellent staff and the never changing menu. I've been going to Dick's for 30 years and now my kids love going there. We now live in Covington but make the long drive just to satisfy my hunger for 2 cheeseburgers, fires, and a shake! more

Can you handle it? 1/20/2005

Dick's Deluxe is the best! Granted it is a small burger compared to a double whopper, but who needs that anyways? I always get a dicks deluxe, fries and a chocolate shake. Sooo good! more

Quick 'n Tasty 8/9/2004

Is the food pre-cooked, pre-assembled and pre-packaged? Yes. Are the burgers a tad greasy? Of course. Does any of that make Dick's a bad burger joint? Absolutely Not! With quick service, better french fries then McDonalds and affordable eats, Dick's scores a 10 out of 10 in my book. Pros: Inexpensive, Good eats, Quick Service more

dick's is great 6/16/2004

I am from Portland, and any time I am up in Seattle I make sure to stop by Dick's. This is not the place to go if you want a hundred choices. But if you want a burger and fries with a coke or milkshake then Dick's is the place! Pros: Burgers, Shakes, Price more

Can't beat it!!! 6/13/2004

OMG, I went to Seattle for a week in March and stayed right across from one of the Dick's locations. For the price I don't think you can get better! I tell you, I have had a serious craving for Dick's ever since I came back and actually went so far as to look at flight prices just to go up there for a burger and come back!! Now THAT'S good food! Can't wait to move up there so I can have it whenever I want!!! Pros: cheap prices more

Best Place at 1:30 am 5/27/2004

Okay, so Dick's isn't know for its gourmet burgers full of choice, but still it beats a McD's cheese any day of the week. If you drive past this joint at 1am you will find a line for miles...it is the best ""after a night drinking"" food hands down (it makes Taco Bell seem like dog food). Its a place for a greasy burger and fries...sometimes the burgers are a bit over done, but still you just can't beat it. It is a Seattle landmark and anyone looking for a made to order burger can go somewhere else...us locals don't want you there any ways! more

A Seattle Tradition! 5/22/2004

I live out of state now but everytime I come back home to Seattle, I head straight for Dick's to get my Deluxe burger ""fix"" and chase it down with one of their great chocolate shake!!! (ok, I'll admit I steer clear of the greasy, limp fries but my friends always order them w/tartar sauce.) I'm surprised to read some other readers low recommendations! They obviously DIDN'T grow up in Seattle eating Dick burgers and enjoying the nostalgia. Hey, even on cold, windy nights, Dick's has a line up of customers. Keep up the great burger tradition! Pros: Nostalgic, Inexpensive, Good Parking more

Seattle Legend 5/4/2004

Dick's has three things working for it; great burgers, great (but greasy) fries, and great milkshakes. And you can't beat the prices. The place can get kind of busy at night but it's worth the wait to grab some burgers and go. Pros: Great Food, Great Value more

it's ok 4/19/2004

The food here is good for a quick fix and a cheap way to satisfy that appetite but I wouldnt go so far as to label it first class fast food. The fries are limp and soggy, I prefer them crispy. As far as the hamburgers go, I personally cant see why this would be considered the best Seattle has to offer. I can undertand the nostagia long time Seattlelites have with Dicks, but even the local Denny's burger is a step above this place. Yes, I would come back here, if i was starving and happened to be around a Dicks, yes it is edible, but no, I dont consider this the ""BEST"" Pros: cheap fast food more

Get real!!! 3/25/2004

Try one of the top burgers from the other states!! This is a small wussy burger of fair quality in comparison - almost in the category of Castle burgers!!!! What a joke when I moved out here......... But people are cool, fires are great, and ambiance is pure tradition. Pros: good fries, fast service more

bad burgers 3/25/2004

You've got to be kidding me! How is dicks on this list? I am a recent transplant from Nebraska, and I was shocked not to see Bob's Bar or the whole state of Nebraska for top burgers! Dicks has a great atmosphere, but the burgers are barely a step up from a McDonalds 69 cent value burger.....c'mon, this place has sub par burgers with a cute atmosphere ask any real beef person and they'll tell you. Pros: cheap, fast, to go Cons: , poor beef, bad burgers more
