Best

This salon has given me the best experience. The atmosphere is always professional and efficient. Not to mention the convenience of same-day appointments, the owner Ms Grace is ...

Worst

Removed my review from the initial post.

Absolutely Awesome!! 10/12/2010

Prior author (Best Braid Salon In NC!!), I read your most recent post....and your tone was much different. You reviewed the salon as the worst with a rating of 1 star.........SO, WHICH is it???? Is she the best or the absolute worst??? I have had excellent experiences with grace and I really LOVE that she cares about her clients and the professional hair braiding that she does. I ONLY have the best to say about this salon as well as it's employees. I hope you are able to find someone as caring and skilled as the stylists as CCFB in Cary. Warm Regards, Sharon CP more

love my hair 10/11/2010

have been searching for a place like this in NC for over a year. All I wanted was a place where I can get my hair braided by a professional, but when I went to CCFAB I got that and more. more

Absolutely The Best! 9/25/2010

I have been to many african braiding salons and I have always just had an ok experience. Today, I came here to get my hair braided, and it was an experience like none other. Ms. Mary and Grace were extremely professional, and friendly. I have never been to an african braiding salon were the stylist were conversational or friendly. We had conversations about absolutely everything, and it makes the time go by much faster. On top of all the friendliness that was displayed, Grace paid for my lunch as well as the lunch of another client. They were absolutely amazing and I have already recommened them to several people in a matter of hours. I will definitely go back over and over and over again. Thanks again to Grace and Ms. Mary...my hair is awesome. more

ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY HAIR 9/24/2010

I've been getting braids for over 10 years and my experience at Customer Come First African Braids was the best. I had the most fun talking to Grace which made the time go by faster. We talked and talked and talked the whole entire time. The best thing is my braids are the bomb. I've gotten so many compliments on my tree braids, I LOVE THEM. I will definitely make Grace my permenant hair braider. Thanks Grace for giving me the best braiding experience. more

CCFAB. Love the Service 9/5/2010

I have absolutely no complaints about Customer Comes First. I assure any skeptics of the name, that it means just that, The business goes over and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction 100% of the time, and if there ever is a time that you are not satisfied, there is no doubt that that your braids will be taken out on the spot and be done over again. It is just that serious. And that is what I love about it. DEFINITELY a place I would recommend to family and friends. And my hair is always gorgeous,. I can never get enough compliments, I love it. I've been four times already and I will continue to come. CCFAB is just that thorough. more

If you want the typical african hair braiding experience... 7/24/2010

don't come here. By that I mean the typical lateness, rudeness, and just an uncomfortable environment. Grace is a professional woman who is intelligent and very skilled in braiding. She chose the perfect color for me, we had a very fun conversation, and she even fed me. My hair looks and feels great!!! When she was done, I could even put it up in a style without it hurting :) Grace, you truly are a blessing and I will definitely be coming back!!! Thanks!!!! P.S-I'm still waiting for number 7 Grace lol Pros: professional, friendly, beautiful braids more

Best Hair Braiding Experience Yet! 7/16/2010

After calling some of the old places I have visited a few times before, when I've gotten my hair braided, and then thinking about the atmosphere and how impersonal and uncomfortable I felt while I was there, I begin the search of trying to find a high quality, professional African Hair Braiding place and I found it at Customers Come First African Braids. I came to this website first to read all of the reviews and I will say that I was very impressed and wanted to know more, so I sent an interest e-mail to on their website. The next day, Grace was calling to see how she could help, she actually called twice, but I waited a couple of weeks because I had relaxed my hair. So, this week, I decided to give her a try. I went in for my consultation on Wednesday afternoon. The shop was clean, she was excited to see me and help me figure out what style would work best for me and my hair. Grace was conversing with both the other customer and me and she was doing everything possible to make sure that both of our needs were being met. It was great! I felt very comfortable and knew I was excited to see what could do with my hair. Pros: Experienced, Knowledgeable, Customer Care Cons: None more

My First Braid Experience 7/14/2010

I have been forced to edit my braiding experience. After our initial braid job, I made appointments to get our braids re-braided. By then, Grace did not care what kind of customer service she was giving. The times I took my two girls, each time she tried to ""pawn"" them off on the other braider. After I dropped my daughter off, Grace had her call me and tell me another lady wanted her to do her hair and she forgot to write it down! Before her work was great but when she did my youngest daughters hair, it did not last 2 weeks. Furthermore, I made my appointment and had to change it. She failed to make my take down appointment and wanted me to come late at night. The next day when I said something about it, she acted as if I did something wrong and refused to do my hair. I was left with an afro scrambling trying to find someone to do it. This was on a Sunday. Even though I had an appointment, Grace said 'she figured I didn't want my hair done so she made other plans'! What?! Pros: Prompt, Clean Shop, Excellent final product! more

Great Braid Experience 6/28/2010

I knew I wanted to wear braids this summer so my search was on for a Braiding Salon. After doing much research, I decided to call Customers Come First African Braids. What attracted me to this salon was their focus on Customer Service. I called the shop to find out more information. Grace suggested that I come in for a consultation. When I came in for the consultation, Grace asked me several questions in order to determine what I wanted. I was a little clueless on what I wanted but she suggested the Senegalese twists. She described the pros of these twists. She also showed me a photo album that contained pictures of her actual work. I was able to see the final product of the Senegalese twists. She also showed me another binder that contained the price list. I liked that the price list spelled out everything clearly and also showed me the cost based on how large/small I wanted the twists. She also told me that the cost also included the price of the hair. I felt that her prices were very reasonable and comparable to other Braiding Salons in the area. My overall experience was great but it didn?t start off on the greatest note. Grace was an hour late to my appointment and I was very upset. . She went to run a quick errand but due to circumstances out of her control, the errand took longer than she anticipated. In order to make up for her tardiness, she offered a 10% discount. She apologized profusely for her tardiness and I could tell that she was truly apologetic. My overall experience was great. Grace washed, conditioned and blow dried my hair at no additional cost before she started braiding it. She also made conversation with me while she braided my hair. I was also able to watch cable TV and that was a huge plus. She also offered refreshments while she braided my hair. I was extremely pleased with the finished product. After she was through with the twists, she offered tips on how to maintain the twists. I went to work on today and I have gotten many compliments. The twists are so different and unique. My husband even likes the twists. Grace will even take the twists out for free once I?m ready for them to be taken out (I have never heard of that). I would highly recommend Grace to friends. Great job Grace!!! You now have another life-long customer. Pros: Professional, Great Work, Price known up front more

PR at its Best 6/23/2010

Customer's Come First is no cliche for Grace's African braid shop in Cary, N.C., but rather a statement of truth! Service was timely - Grace was on her feet to greet me the minute the door chimed, and the finished product of undeniable quality. Not only did Grace offer substantive conversation while working, she even offered me refreshments --at no charge. This shop branded itself an A+ and based on other clients' testimonies, I KNOW this is CCFA's everyday culture. This shop does more than design hair, it inspires and befriends. Well done, Grace. Thank you! Pros: Customer service, hospitality, quality, product Cons: Non existent more

The Best Braiding I Have Experienced 6/19/2010

I had the best braiding experience of my life at this salon. The owner, Grace, was wonderful. She is very nice and friendly. Unlike most salons that I have been to, she is willing to work with you and tell you the pros and cons of each hairstyle. Most places just take your money and send you on your way. And after your hair is done, she tells you what to do to help take care of your hair. Prices are very reasonable, just excellent service. I am definitely hooked. Pros: Everything Cons: Nothing more

WILL NOT BE COMING BACK 6/8/2010

I was just as pleased with Grace and her work as the customers who wrote the previous reviews, but time has definitely changed my opinion. When I met Grace in 2010, I was one of her first customers and she did not have a huge clientele so she was extremely accomodating. Now that her client base has grown, I have definitely seen a change in the level of her customer service. My hair is natural and is shoulder length once it is straightened. I made an appointment two weeks in advance to get micros braids, only to get to Graces's salon and be told that the micros can't be done because my hair was too long. I was in shock because I, nor anyone else that I spoke to, had ever heard of such a thing. So eventutally I had to settle for a hair style that I did not want because Grace or the other braider refused to braid my hair in the micros. It was pouring down rain and I was not up for driving around to find another salon. Also, good luck getting that free take-down that's supposed to be included with your hair style. I called at least twice a week for two weeks straight and could not get an appointment for my take-down. I finally had to pay to have them removed somewhere else. But I am happy that Grace has shown such poor customer service and I was forced to find another salon. A co-worker referred me to African Nubian Queens Hair Braiding in Durham and they were beyond excellent. They had no issue with the length of my hair. It is definitely worth the drive from Raleigh. Pros: Professional environment, Top notch work more

She is great! 5/20/2010

Took my daughter there for the first time, and everything was great. My daughter felt comfortable, she had no complaints about anything. Grace is the best hair braider I have seen yet. She is quick and she has a passion for her customers and for her profession. I have told a few people about her since last night. I love to promote great sylists. I would reccomend her to any and everybody. Pros: Everything is wonderful there more

A DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH!!!!!!! 5/6/2010

Newly relocated to NC from NYC. I was on the hunt for a braid shop. I meet the owner in the mall one day and immediately her vibes were great. I ask her so many questions standing in the mall, I was abit embarrased to ask so many . Grace, the owner, did not hesitate at all she happily answer all my questions. I made an appointment for the very next weekend. While sitting getting my hair done (in a comfortable environment) she was oh so pleasant and courteous. The time it took her to complete my hair was remarkable. And the finish product was even better. I would recommend anyone to this shop. You would be over satisfied. And yes, the hair is included and as promise she takes it out too. One less headache. Pros: Professional, Neat and Clean Cons: none at all more

The best hair experience you will ever have!! ;D 5/5/2010

When I first called Grace she was very professional. She had me come in for a consult so she could look at my hair. Once I came in she told me the price which was the best in town, and I set up an appointment. I've been going to her sense Feb and shes wonderful. I have always been pleased with my hair and the customer service. I'm never waiting to be called because she has overbooked her schedule or anything. She is always on time and works quick. I really like how she talks to her clients as she does their hair and isn't on the phone or speaking another language. Pros: Affordable Prices,Free Refreshments, Cable TV Cons: There are none. more

The Best African Braids in NC. 5/3/2010

Hi! My name is Chip Young and if you are looking to get your hair braided I highly recommend that you visit Grace at Customer Come First African Braids Inc. I have been there twice so far and it is a very professional environment. Where else could you be offered free refreshments while you get your hair done( to perfection)? Thats not even the best part. When you are ready for a redo Grace will take your braids out for free. You won't be disappointed, i promise. more

Still the BEST FOR ME...************************************ 5/1/2010

It's all started when i call the business to just ask few questions. The owner, Grace answer the phone very professional, she answer all my questions and recommended me to come to the store for a consultation. Two days later I went in for my consultation and my mind was blew away. First she asked me few questions, than she show me her books of styles, later she show me a book which has all the prices of all the different braiding styles, than at last she told me that the hair was included. At last, she told that i was going to get FREE refreshments while getting my hair done. But best of all, she said that my braids will be taking out for FREE when I was ready to take my braids out. Hello... did you hear what I said? I said my braids will be taking out for FREEEEEEEE. That's going to save me at least $60 to $80 bucks. With all that said, I was very excited to see what my hair would look like. Two weeks later I came to get my hair done. The quality of the work and service was far better than what i had expected. ""It was everything they said it will be and much, much more."" When the work was done, I looked a my hair and I loved it, I paid with my credit card and she give me two receipts. on the first receipt she had a line which request me to sign if I was 100% satisfy with my hair. Of course I sign it because I was well pleased. Three weeks later, when I came home and checked my mail box, I found a post card from CUSTOMER COME FIRST AFRICAN BRAIDS, thanking me for doing business with them. I don't know what else to tell you, but this is the FIRST BLACK BRAIDING SHOP that I have been to that take proud in what they do and they also put in so much to PLEASED their customers. I hope they keep things the way they are because I see great things happening for this company and may God continue to bless them. The owner is a great woman and very friendly. I give them 1000 stars************************* Pros: They are the BEST in every ways... Cons: I don't have any cons, I'm speechless more
