Customer Knows Best! 11/2/2011

I have been getting my hair braided forever and wanted to find a place close to school, as I'm not from the triangle area. When I came across this salon and all the pleasant reviews, I had to call and make an appointment. Ms. Grace was very nice. She made sure I knew exactly what I wanted and even tried to talk me out of a bigger braid size for fear they would turn out bigger than I actually wanted (however, I was going for a 90s look). It showed she really cared. There was a newer worker in the shop and when she was taking a lot of phone calls while finishing braiding my long braids (that Ms. Grace had so quickly put in), Ms. Grace reprimanded her (nicely, of course). I've been to many braid shops where the braiders were on the phone, talking to one another, and completely ignoring the customer. Not ONCE have I ever seen the owner chastise a worker for it. This, right here, assured my return. If you're looking for a great braiding experience, look no further than Customer Knows Best (which I accidentally called it to Ms. Grace. She found it hilarious)! But for real, stop reading reviews, call Customer Comes First, and get yo' head braided! more

First Time Customer 11/1/2011

Hi Everyone. Ms Grace is the consummate professional. I called and she took me right away for a consultation. We agree on the particulars of my appointment and I went back the next day. She was fast and efficient. I got tired as I am not used to sitting for so long to get my hair done, however we finished in the amount of time that she told me it would take. Her shop is clean and quiet. There was no profanity used either. A plus in my book! She is great with selecting hair colors for her clients too. She selected a perfect shade of color for me and I have gotten nothing, but compliments on my new look! Thanks Ms. Grace. I will be back again. more

Customers Really do come first. 10/23/2011

I called Customer Come First today at 9:00 am and I was given an appointment right away today at 11:00. I was taken right away without a wait. The owner gave me the best treatment ever. She is very hands on and she is also in to her customers. She has a personality that is filled with love and gold. I will never go to another shop. I am her customer for life. more

The Customer Really Does Come First!! 10/19/2011

This was the best experience I have ever had in getting my hair braided! I was so impressed with Grace and her winning personality. She ws so attentive to my level of comfort while she braided my hair and I love it!! I especially liked the fact that she did a consultation prior to committing to doing my hair, which is not something that is normally done at other shops I contacted. She chose the style and color and I am so pleased - the comments just keep coming from everywhere. If you need to select a new hair braider, please give her a call and stop by to let her ""make you more beautiful""! more

Hello Everyone, I would like to tell you about my wonderful experience Customer Come First African Braid inc, I never been any where in a braid shop and heard customer satisfaction is IMPORTANT, I will tell you Mrs.Grace Stands behind her words and she will make sure you are HAPPY with you hair and just know how to treat you, and if something is not right with your hair she will make sure it is done correctly before you leave. and she does not braid your hair tight like most braiding shops .I will be returning to this braiding shop. I am telling you I have been to some braiding shops in Raleigh and had bad experiences, But here is Great Great Please give Mrs.Grace a chance to became your next stylist I am telling you will not regret it .... more

Grace Rocks! 9/26/2011

Grace is awesome. From the first time I spoke with her re connected. She is very friendly, outgoing, honest and has a welcoming spirit. She isn't push nor does she try to push christanity upon you as I read in an earlier post. Coming to her shop was one of the best decisions I have ever maid. Plus, my hubby said he was very pleased, and he hates braids. I will forever be customer of her shop. She rocks! more

Finally, a woman who stands by her work! 9/18/2011

I had my hair done by Grace about a month ago and am still loving it! I got the natural twist. I don't particular like long hair but the style I received allows me to wear it up in a more flattering style for office and to experiment with other styles for other occasions. A week before finding Customer Come First, I went to a braid shop close to my home. Language barrier led to minimal communication which led to a style I was totally unhappy with. I went home and removed it. Grace took time to consult with me and presented me with options I did not know existed! I liked being able to schedule an appointment and being the only client being serviced. The price is somewhat expensive but if the style last six months it is worth it. Additionally, Grace includes in the price replacements of any braids that come unattached [like at the nape of the neck], a couple of style ""dos"" for special occasions and free take down at the end of six months [in my case]. I am very happy to find someone who listens. I will be a repeat customer. The only thing I would change next time is that less hair is used. I prefer less fullness since I have have a bicycle helmet and it doesn't feel as comfortable with so much hair. more

I just got my braids(senegalese) done today and I must say, Grace is the best braider in North Carolina! I don't use those words loosely because I am a difficult client, haha. However, My mom and I went yesterday for a consultation and immediately I felt welcomed by Grace's friendly attitude. She is an extremely fast braider and it she finished my hair much sooner than I anticipated. She even showed me different styles as I am used to only wearing my hair one way when it is out. Now, I'm glad that I can change my hair and feel confident that I look great. Again, thank you Grace. I really appreciate you. I'll definitely be back to see you again!! more

Satisfied Customer 8/14/2011

I must say I am very pleased with how my hair turned out and the customer service that I recieved... Initially I was a little nervous as to how my hair would turn out but I trusted Grace (the owner). She recommended that I put some color in my hair which I was opposed to at first but being that she has over 20 yrs experience I felt that she would know best, and she did! I got senegalese twist done and Ms. Monique did them, although it took her about 9 hours to complete them she did a great job she was just a little slower than the other ladies;) And afterwards Grace took the time to show me quite a few styles to do with my new senegalese twist including up do's. You will be pleased so go and check these ladies out...all of them do great work and Grace will make sure that you are 100% satisfied because they guarentee their work! They have a repeat customer in me;-) more

Awesome {A Great Experience} 7/11/2011

On Friday, July 8th, I Embraced the location that So Many have Discussed in Reviews. Two of us received Services and we both were EXTREMELY SATISFIED. CCFAB has the best atmosphere. It's a place where you can be Home Away From Home. It's Nice, Neat and Clean. Complaints; there WON'T BE ANY!! Grace, Ms. Mary and Evelyn are a Wonderful Team. Evelyn (the new addition, Stylist/Braider) provided my service and Ms. Mary provided the service that my cousin received. Evelyn--Rocks! They braid with Gentleness. NO HAIR PULLING!! Customers Come First BUT Grace Knows BEST!!! 5/28/2011

My first experience with Grace began with a long debate but ended well, as always. I have never had color in my hair before and Grace insisted that I try something new; we talked for 45 minutes about what colors to put in my hair. I knew that 1B(black) was the color for me but Grace talked me down to M233(reddish/brown). Grace won the argument in the end and I LOVED IT. My hair looked fabulous and I received several compliments on the quality and color of my hair... For my second braiding experience with Grace, we began with another debate about the color :-). This time I won! Eventually Grace slipped a little color into my hair and I was pleasantly surprised. A word of advice, GRACE KNOWS BEST! Your questions or concerns are taken care of before you even ask, she will not disappoint. Thanks Grace! more

first and best braiding experience of my life. 5/23/2011

I'm sixteen. And I was getting my hair braided professionally for the first time for my birthday. So I researched, for like a week to find out who was the best hair braider in my area. Not only the best HAIR BRAIDER, but someone who has concern care for the customers hair. The I came across CCFAB. Mrs. Grace is funny, down to earth, and kind. Not to mention she hooked my hair up something serious. She braided tight enough so that the braids won't slip, but not so tight that they hurt. My hair looked amazing. I recently took it out after a month because of the 90 degree weather and all that hair on my head, was not the business. But come August, I will be going back to get some more single braids (which I love) in honey brown for school. I can't wait to go back! more

The Absoute Best 5/22/2011

Grace is superb. I stumbled upon CCFB by chance and it turned out to be a blessing. Every other braid shop told me I would have to perm my natural hair to get the look I wanted for my wedding. Not here. Grace introduced me to Tree braids and I am beyond satisfied. Not only did she guide me towards a perfect color choice but also she told me how to keep them looking great. Grace is fast. I have been to other places and have had two people on my head and they were not as fast. This shop is the best and I am not going to another shop. They do upkeep and take outs so why would I need somewhere else. This is my last. more

Grace was fast, professional, friendly, and best of all spiritual. We had a wonderful meeting, I can't even call it a hair appointment, it went beyond that. Our Father is so wonderful in the way He puts His people together in such a sweet and subtle way. The name of Yahweh is a strong tower, the righteous run into it and they are saved. Best Braiding Salon Ever!!!!! 3/5/2011

This was my first experience with hair braiding and I will never go anywhere else! Grace was professional, kind, and she is extremely good with her craft of braiding. My hair has had soooo many compliments, I can't begin to tell you all of them. While getting my hair done, we had wonderful conversations about all kinds of topics including God. I had such a pleasant experience speaking with her that I felt as if we were family almost immediately. You will not want to look anywhere else to have your hair done.
