This is one of my favorite restaurants in Austin -- a fun, wild, noisy tex-mex restaurant with fantastic decor and a shrine to Elvis. You can dine in a room decorated with about a thousand hubcaps or below the quarter panel of a '57 Bel Air.
The wait is always long, but there is a free chips and salsa bar and a not-free drinks bar. If you order a soda you get a cup that holds about a liter and the waiters will keep refilling it, which makes me happy (and eventually, hyper).
The food is pretty good, and there is always a lot of it -- especially after the chips & salsa, I leave stuffed. The servers are always on the ball.
Plus, you might see our president's daughters go on a perp walk.
Pros: Fun, Elvis, Food
Cons: Long Wait
