I was called when service person was on the way. He was very personable, neat, and respectful. He inquired if we were having problems and after servicing the unit, made some suggestions, discussed life of unit, cleaning the vents. I am very satisfied with the service and would highly recommend more

C Bros is dreadful. First, to make an appointment, I had to talk to three different people, who all put me on hold. They said they could be out late the next day. I told them to make it easy, come first thing the following day, because it was an all-day job. They said between 10-1. ??? They never showed up or called. I called at 3pm, and they apologized and said they would be out the next day between 1-4, and would give me a $50 credit. They didn't show up until after 5pm, but the guy they sent, Mikey, was really good. Polite, professional, and explained everything he was doing as he diagnosed the problem. He then gave us a quote for $1900 which we thought was high for one day's work and less than $200 in parts. Out of convenience, we agreed to the $1900. The next morning, (late again) they sent out Barry, who immediately bragged about how good he was, and how there was no way they could do the job for less than $4000, because the parts were more than $2000. I tuned out the rest of his amazing BS, and decided to do it myself, and saved $1700. I will never call Christian Brothers again. more

The service was good and the mechanics were respectful seemed sincere. I ended up spending a lot more money than I expected. But for the time they spent I suppose the price was not out of line. more

Contract Number 147091 for $28,679.00 Due to the fact we were going on a vacation we wanted the problems fixed and made a quick decision which we regret. There was no itemized list of costs for materials and labor of what would be done and no proof of how Jon determined the contracts HIGH cost. We are not happy with the practice of signing a contract before knowing what specific materials and services were required. We feel we were grossly over charged for the materials and services performed. I will never recommend Christian Brothers to neighbors, friends or family. more

Workers did not protect surrounding area before removing drywall. Made a cloud of drywall dust and debris all over my closet and good clothing. They offered to vacuum the floor, but there was such a mess and the vacuum they hauled in was filthy, and I had just had my carpets cleaned. I suggested they send a cleaning person or else I'd do it myself. I did it myself. Had I been aware they were going to cut out sheets of drywall in the closet I would have covered everything with sheets or plastic. more

Christian Brothers has always been my go to plumber/AC. However, whomever they have employed or use as marketing estimates to their customers or potential customers should be fired! Giving a job estimates to customers with choices of features / options with one of them being ONLY a labor cost of over $800.00 is a sham. In my case, over $800.00 was one option that DID NOT include a hot water heater is out of line and not very Christian. It's designed to force you into purchasing high price services, options and product. Though the final agreed upon price, after using influence of one of the owners was tolerable (still overpriced) and the actual service/installation was outstanding- I would be hard pressed to call on them again. It's not rocket science to know what is needed to install an electric hot water heater but to be treated at the time of need (they won't give you a price over the phone) to pressure you into a decision with outrageous pricing was actually worse than buying a car! My advice - shop around. Don't get sucked in to Christian Brothers marketing scam when their service/installers show up. I actually felt sorry for the service techs. They were polite, knew their stuff but we're held back of doing the right thing by corporate chains if you understand the biblical reference. Again, I deeply appreciate Chip and the service techs. The service techs were some of the best I have ever met. It's my hope they at least see some of extraordinary profits in their pockets- they deserve it! more

I have used Christian Brothers for several years for my electrical and plumbing needs. Every mechanic (plumber, electrician) that has come to my house is punctual, courteous, competent and completes the job or explains why they will need more time. I believe it would not be difficult to find someone at a lower price but I continue to be happy with the results using Christian Brothers so I have not looked for an alternative. more

I would say that the crew who did a job for me was very professional and nice. I was told what they were going to do every step of the way, without any surprises. And now I won't have to worry about the water system ever failing again. So in conclusion, I would hire them again. more

I believe that because I arranged to have the plumbing leak repaired long distance via telephone as I am living out of state, I was scalped as far as the price is concerned. They cut two holes in the dry wall and welded a pipe. I was told it would cost $750 to weld the pipe, finally negotiated to $675. This was an outrageous price! I just had the exact type of leak here in my own home and paid $151 total for the repair. more
