Personal Plumber 1/12/2012

This is the second time that Bishop has come to my house on an emergency call. They are prompt, polite, personable and knowledgeable and efficient. They made me feel as if I had my own personal plumber taking care of my problems. I am so grateful to them. more

Outrageously Expensive!!! 1/7/2012

OUTRAGEOUSLY EXPENSIVE!!!!!! The gentleman that came was very nice and professional, but proceeded to tell me it would cost $275 to light the pilot! He then told me it would cost me another $400 to replace a part! Almost $700 later he said he fixed it. Don't buy into the $79 fee is waived if they fix it...all that means is that you pay that in the other fees. Would not recommend because of the pricing. more

Exorbitant prices, dishonest business practices 1/7/2012

I would highly recommend contacting a plumber who will be up front with you. Check out the Better Business Bureau website for Chicago and read through their 40+ complaints over the past 3 years. They wont' provide even a ballpark estimate for a standard project, like a toilet installation. When they arrive, they will quote you a totally exorbitant, outrageous, unbelievably high price. If you refuse, they will try to collect a ""dispatch fee"". Find a plumber who will provide a no obligation estimate for your job. Dishonest and borderline scam, in my opinion. more

Polite, Courteous and Hard Working 12/31/2011

They responded promptly to my emergency on New Year's Eve. They wree very polite from the time they answered the phone until the time the plumber fixed the problem. Brad was very helpful and explained everything that needed to be done. Once finished he cleaned up the mess and explained the pump in detail! I can't say thank you enough! more

Holiday plumbing problem solved 12/23/2011

Plumber was very professional . . . quoted the prices up front and at each step as a problem was uncovered. Problem was identified and resolved quickly, and he explained the issues along the way and gave suggestions for preventing in the future. Will continue using them for any future problems. more

Recent Service for kitchen disposal 11/26/2011

Our disposal in the kitchen sink was leaking. We had a gentlemen come over from bishop plumbing. He was very professional. He introduced himself and shook our hands. He assessed the problem and offered us two different solutions. He was knowledgeable about their products and the problem at hand. He managed to completely remove the disposal and fix the plumbing within about 30 minutes. He kept out house clean while he did it and was respectful of our dogs as well. We were offered a 30 dollar discount for donating ten non perishable food items and then an additional ten dollar discount at the end. The price was fair and the quality of work was excellent. Thanks Bishop plumbing! more

water leak unknown source 11/18/2011

Brock arrived on time and conducted a very thorough investigation of the possible source of water that had passed through the kitchen and into the garage on the floor below. After a number of procedures, a number of potential sources of the water were excluded, but no specific site of the leak was identified. Therefore Brock suggested that we watch and report any sign of further leaking. I was most satisfied with the thoroughness and careful approach. more
