The BBB is a PRIVATELY held franchose company. Their business model is pay to play. IF you pay them the "accredidation" fee they wil lremove bad reviews/complaints. Peoplethink the BBB is agovernemnt agency - it's not - that is the scam that is the BBB. They are as crooked as they come. The funy part is they literally do nothing. They are nothing more than a business directory...and a bad one at that. The funnier part is competitors of companies write bad reviews and the BBB allows it more

Pay to play scam 8/2/2018

Better Business Bureau is nothin more than a pay to play scam. You PAY for acredidation. We had a complaint about a company with an a paid A+ rating. The complaint was removed 2 days later. BBB is nothing more than profiting franchises. more

Not on the consumers side 7/28/2018

Removed my review of a business and refuse to respond to e-mails asking why. The BBB rates the same company an A+ even though the company has 19 negative reviews and only one positive. Those are only the negative reviews that the BBB allows to remain. Clearly bad businesses can pay the BBB for good ratings and to remove legit reviews. Don't trust this organization when deciding on who to do business with. more

Double Charge 6/6/2017

Better Business Bureau serving Chicago and Northern Illinois double charged my bank account. I called to ask how did this happen? They said they have no idea, apologize and said they will refund me the double charge when the person in charge returns to work. I would not give the BBB of Chicago a good review, I think in 2 years I only got one phone call from a paying customer who found me on the BBB, and now a double charge, good thing I caught it. more
