Asked for back trim only, slight graduation. Student stylist didn't have a clue, asked another student to help. 2nd student started trimming ends of sides. I said "I asked that sides not be cut!" She replied "I'm only point cutting ends". (which turned out inch shorter than other side) The back that I had asked for a slight graduation turned out to be a series of "bumps",not a smooth graduation, and not at the weight line that followed the shape of my head. (Then the guy supervisor inspected the cut, I said do see one side is shorter? He made some comment like, "Oh, maybe that side curls up more?" Anyway, he didn't have a solution. This was first and last haircut at Aveda Institute for me! The other services I've had there are facial and a pedicure, which was very long and uncomfortable sitting in straight back chairs. The students have to use a dish pan for soaking the feet and are constantly running back and forth to empty water or get more water. So, even though the polish looked ok, it was not the relaxing pedi experience I could get in a regular shop for about the same price. Also, I had to make an appointment at a regular shop to have the haircut corrected. Students have to read their instructions as they go, which makes me think they don't know what they're doing. I do not plan to go back.
