I am thrilled to find this repair garage!. \r \r As a woman, I've experienced first hand the feeling of being taken advantage of by mechanics. My fears of that happening again are now gone. Karl and Dave treated me like the professional woman I am. And they have the cleanest bathroom I've ever been in! \r \r My Jag has a new home away from home and I trust my 'precious little kitty' will be well maintained at this place! more

Stopped here cuz they advertise they've won the 'ultimate shop' in the Chronicle and the 'best shop' in the Press...and they are! Everything was done on time and at the price given. Shuttle service a +. They asked me to write a review due to some bad reviews on this site. I don't normally do this, but I am happy to oblige them cuz y'all need to do business with these guys. I will tell everyone I know about Auto Doc!!!! Don't believe that other junk about them. Some joker (probably their competition) is trying to make them look bad. more

I'm a med student and got a flat tire on my way to the med center in front of this quaint little ""mom and pop ""place . They treated me like gold. $12.00 to repair a tire and I was back on the road 10 mins later. Nice guys--I'll be back! more

New to the Houston area, and I hate looking for new service providers, (i.e, doctors, dentists, cleaners, car repair.) Stumbled upon this great little place right in my backyard! Clean, friendly, and very accomodating! Maybe a little more expensive than some shops, but hey, my motto is 'You get what you pay for.' Definately worth it! more

Avoid this place like the plague. We took my daughter's car there in August to get an oil leak fixed and to ask them to check out and fix a mysterious rattle in the engine. They fixed the oil leak, along with several other mysterious things that racked up a bill, but they could give no explanation for the rattle other than there was something ""loose in there"". Duh. Fast forward to January, when my daughter had the same car towed in because of overheating. The tow truck driver managed to leave the keys on and deplete a brand-new battery. Then came the bad news -- that mysterious rattle turned out to be a problem that would require the entire engine to be replaced. When my daughter decided the car was not worth the price of a new engine, they offered to help her sell the car, then kept the entire sales price for themselves, producing a bill that conveniently showed expenses that equalled the sales prices of the car, including ""storage fees"" (which they did not tell us they were planning to charge) that included the time in which the car sat there waiting for them to get around to looking at it and including the weekend, when they were not even open for us to have access to the car. Nice way to treat a single mom and a girl who is working nearly full time to get herself through college. more

Apparently all the people who have written bad stuff about this shop have their heads up their butts. This place is AWESOME!! They are friendly, smart and know their way around a car. They made me a list of the things I need on my car andI get it fixed when I have the money. They shuttle me to and from work and send me coupons to help pay for it. What other place does all this for you? hey, if you live in Montrose you will be paying Montrose prices. If they didn't do it right- take it back. I had to once and then they made it right for me while I waited and ate one of their warm cookies fresh out of the oven. All I can say is give them a try and see for yourself. They're all about customer satisfaction here. Pros: Love the look--retro and fun more

MY CAR WAS STALLING OUT. DEALER COULDN'T FIND THE PROBLEM. AUTO DOC PINPOINTED IT WITHIN 2 HRS AND IT'S RUNNING GREAT! WOW!! more

I like the feeling of confidence and assurance with which this business is done. They are pros! With Dave it's not just about fixing cars-they are good and caring. And I have never seen such cleanliness in a shop Pros: Thumbs up! more

My car is still running bad and probably worse after the hundreds of dollars that I spent to fix it originally. I took it back and complained, their response was I need to spend another couple of hundreds of dollars. ahhhh. more

I drive a volkswagon and I got shafted with a different labor rate guide compared to my wife who goes here too. She drives a Chevrolet Cavalier and we been here twice now and I just noticed my bill that I had a defferent labor rate. I'm not coming here again, I didn't like their service anyway. Cons: They charge whatever they feel like. more

I called here after being over quoted by RMS Auto off of Westheimer. RMS quoted $397.00 to change spark plugs and a coil. $397!!!! The Auto Doc quoted me $180 for the same work and didn't used generic parts. These guys were honest from the start. Their service was the best I had ever recieved from any auto repair shop. They did the work I requested and took care of the some things that RMS messed with while they were conducting a ""maintenance check."" I will be using them for anything and everything my truck might need. more

I used to go here....and used to be is the key word. Their sevices has really diminished quite drastically. The work got sloppy the prices are cCRAZY. I could go on and on. more

I came and did a 60k maint service on my car. I got my car back with oil and grease marks inside my car and they left a shop rag too. I contacted my dealership to see what they would have charged and I found out it was $180 cheaper at the dealership. On top of that, I was told they probably didn't change my transmission fluid because you need a special machine at the dealership to do this process. I called them and asked about it, as if I was another customer and they told me, ""they didn't have that machine"". Very disappointed. Cons: NOT A REPUTABLE PLACE! more

That women above is incompetent. The reason they overcharged her is because she doesn't know what they are talking about when she gets something done. They probably did more work than she knows which is why her price was higher. I've working at multiple auto shops and we dont specifically overcharge women however why try to to fix all problems when a car is in the shop NOT JUST WHAT THEY CAME FOR. This shop gave me a better deal than my own shop that I work at could.\r \r This shop is grade AAA!!!!!!! more

I came in for service and seeing that I was a woman they ripped me off and overcharged me by over $300 to $500 elsewhere. On top of that, the car is still running the same. I went back and told them that its still running the same as before and they refused to fix the problem. Cons: Customer Service. more
