Auto Doc

I broke down a couple miles from here. I called after hours, and got an answer. He said he'd be happy to come and get me and take me to a hotel nearby. As it turns out, I hobbled in on my own with my camper in tow. He said that we'll get started on the jeep at 9am, but it would be ok to pop the camper and save $100. on the hotel. He already had my jeep diagnosed before I could park it. Super nice guy! more

These guys are a pleasure to work with. I bring both my vehicle and my wife's vehicle to The Auto Doc, and I will continue to do so. No one gets excited about taking their vehicle in for maintenance or repairs, but these guys make it as painless and easy as possible. They will be honest about what repairs are suggested vs. required for your vehicle and situation. You may pay a little more for the work, but the quality of service and honesty make me feel good about what I pay for. Also, the email service reminders include coupons for discounted oil changes and maintenance checks, which bring routine costs at or below what you will find anywhere else. more

I recently moved to Houston and experienced car trouble and AAA recommended Auto DOC. They were very helpful and answered all my questions and best of all they don't make you wait a week to fix your car. They always answer the phone and they are very friendly. They also never did work that I didn't approve (doesn't everyone hate to show up to pick up their car only to find out that the bill is triple what you expected). I would recommend Auto DOC to any of my friends! more

They work to make certain that the customer understands what is required to repair the car and makes the process as painless as possible.\r \r In my case, they went above and beyond the call of duty when after the leaving the shop I ran out of gas of all things. Needed to have some work done but was staying at my sons home that was farther than they normally transport the leave your car. Dave the owner took me and picked my back when it was finished. The work to my car was exceptional and timely. more

I asked the person who phoned to tell my car was ready for pickup, if there were any additional issues. I was told "NO". When I picked up the car, the receipt showed the front struts are weak & worn and I need transmission & brake fluid flushes. Also my check engine light was on immediately. Nothing was discussed with me. Even if your facility does not do this type of work, I should have been told what my additional issues are. Especially since I asked!! I am left now having to take my car to another shop to have this work done. The young man who put my work order in your system was very professional. I hope it was him who gave the assurance that my car was ok. more

After trying the Auto Doc for the first time for some routine maintenance on my Honda, I drove away pleased with the quality of the service. Dave worked with me to find an affordable solution to having the fluids changed without paying an arm and a leg. I knew I had some issues with the brakes, and changing the brake fluid made a dramatic difference in how the brakes operated. The Bungalow coffee shop next door is a great place to wait while the work is being done. more

Very friendly, timely, and thorough service. One my first experience I left my car with them under the impression that I needed a full brake job, since mine were squeaking and thumping. Chris said he would take a look and look at the rest of my car, he called back an hour later explaining that belts and transmission fluid were my issue and that my brake pads were actually very thick and safe, just a little dirty. I asked him to rank the procedures by importance seeing as I was on a budget at the time, which he did, I ended up just having him take care of all the procedures that day. Chris followed up with me throughout the whole process and applied the online coupons to save me a few bucks. Car has been running smoothly since.\r \r I returned for a simple oil change today and set up with Dave. The oil change price is kind of steep ($45) but totally worth it because they overlook your car and give you a little report card of the condition, complete with an actual sample of your cars fluid colors etc. . Dave even had one of the mechanics drive around the block with me so that I could demonstrate the sounds my car was making (steering wheel squeaks). Again; friendly, timely, and thorough service. more

These guys are amazing. Let me tell you a few reasons why...1) quick and thorough...my Jeep has 186k miles. At this point it's just about piecing things together when they go wrong...and when one thing goes wrong many things are soon to follow. Chris is super laid back, honest, and pretty dang cute. If he was single...2) cars get old. Parts get old. If you think you have some magicolicious auto, you are sadly mistaken...especially if you buy one of those new liberal cars....guess what...your hard earned money went to a piece of crap few can really work on. There's triggers and dials, lions and bears, etc., that have been designed that way. Your government green friendly piece of crap goes belly up so you'll blindly buy another piece of government crap (yes...even Toyota, Honda, etc, has manufacturing plants here in the US). They are only 'engineered' in the founding country. They are BUILT by unions that have no other interest than getting paid and meeting the bare minimum regulations (because gov't regulations kill them, thus, quicker, cheaper to build, and with a higher yield in the long run. We live in a techie age that is too competent. We have learned to make things fail to produce more purchasing. Common sense. Now, while I digress...I am extremely happy with their precision and honesty. As a female this is crucial...of course I intuitively know, a woman who goes to a mechanic without a man that knows a little something about car stuff is not the best decision. I used to go to another place at Woodhead and Westheimer, but odd things would happen right after. Don't go anywhere but AutoDoc! more
