Review content:
We hired this West Coast Moving and Storage/ Wheaton Moving Co. for our previous move. Tom came out and gave us a flat rate of $2150. The move should have taken place over two days. Day one, they came late and was not able to load everything onto their trucks. They left behind our refrigerators and outdoor furniture. They promised to come back the day after to pick up the rest of our stuff. Day two, they arrived at the new house 50 miles away. Although they managed to unload all of our belongings they damaged a lot of our furniture and destroyed a $1500 office chair. They left some furniture unassembled and others not in the right place. Because they ran out of time, they placed what was left in the garage. I still have an armoire downstairs when it should be upstairs with the rest of the set. I just had a hernia operation and between me and my wife there is no way for us to move it. The movers promised us they would be back on Saturday to move the rest of our stuff and finish the move and assemble the remaining pieces. Saturday came and I waited for them at the old house. They never showed up. When I finally reached Tom, he said the driver got sick and was not able to keep the appointment. He rescheduled the move to Monday. On Monday they did not show up again. I spoke to the owner, Doug, he demanded more money to complete the move. We have four kids ranging in ages 1 month to 4 years with no refrigerators. They had unplugged the two units and all the food and breast milk went bad. My family and I had to eat fast food and garbage for a week. I pleaded with Doug for help. I was willing to negotiate a price to complete the move. Doug refused! He wanted to charge per hour. He also said his terms and conditions will protect him and his company. Doug finished the conversation with, ""\r go ahead and take us to court, we've been to court before."" I should have known better when Doug asked to be paid in cash. We ended up hiring another moving company for an additional $700. Cons: PLENTY
