First off, I have been coming to these people since I got my license and car. I dont go to anyone else. So for the 'gebuhay1' person, these people are not a rip off. If they dont know how to fix things, or aren't comfortable working on a particular make of a car (bmw, jags, etc...) they will tel you. This shop is not out to get peoples money and I have sat here plenty of times to listen to people rant and rave about how this and that is bullcrap for something that is wrong with their car.
Lets say your getting an inspection, this station along with other REALIABLE TRUSTWORTHY stations have a list of things they need to check for. That list is provided by the Department of State Police, and sits right behind Joe's desk. If anything is wrong with anything that is on that list in your car, your going to know, and going to have to get it fixed! THE POINT OF AN INSPECTION IS FOR YOUR SAFETY! Most people understand that, its the few that don't, that write terrible reviews to make great reliable places like this shop sound like con artists! Even if the problem is small such as a battery hold down, or a light bulb, ive seen people get so bent out of shape...UM HELLO!!!!! you have to have working parts to your car, and its not like this shop is making up its own list, the LIST IS PROVIDED BY STATE POLICE AND IS VISIBLE TO ALL CUSTOMERS WHO QUESTION THE STATE INSPECTION!!!!!
As for your fuel pump and all this sucking money out of you, what purpose does it do to them to ""take your money""...i bet you my life, that car has fallen apart since taking it to your sisters mechanic. My dad, my mom, my husband, and myself have all had big problems with our vehicles, and I can tell you, that NEITHER ONE OF US have had to go back to the ship to fix something that they already fixed previously. Once they fix it, our cars are good to go. When you come to them and tell them XYZ is wrong with the car, the first thing they will tell you INSTEAD of guessing around AND ""TAKING YOUR MONEY LIKE CON ARTISTS"" Mr. Gebuhay1 insists that they tried doing, they will advise you to do a diagnosis using a computerized machine that reads everything in your car...if anything pops up, they will tell you and let you know all the codes, problems, etc...From there is where they tell you what is wrong with the car and move forward with fixing your car.
Bottom line is, this shop is very reliable and is a friendly community repair shop. I wouldn't take my car, my childs car, my husbands car, or any member of my family or friends car to any other shop other than this one. Charlie is a great mechanic, Joe is a great Service Manager and its a fantastic place to go to.
