Review content:
I had been a fan of the Pines Tavern. The food remains subperb. However, the service has deteriorated dramatically. I just returned from a holiday party I hosted for the staff of my small business. The others had not tried the Pines before and I was excited to host them. Barely two hours into our meal and before we were finished, we were asked to hurry up and leave because the staff had booked other groups for a second round of diners. Apparently, other diners were also asked to speed up. I was dumbfounded! To make matters worse, the Hostess identified me to a waiting patron as the person responsible for his delay. He proceeded to rudely and rather childishly interrupt my meal. My stubborn streak was stronger than his obnoxious behavior.
I have dined at fine, and busy, restaurants around the world and have never witnessed patrons rushed from a quality establishment. I will write a letter to the ownership. I truly hope that they were completely unaware of the rude and disrespectful treatment their hostess gave my group of six and others who were simply trying to enjoy a holiday meal.
Pros: Food Quality is great!
Cons: Rude and disrespectful treatment from hosting staff.
