I have been going to Dr. Mauk for about 5 months. I am always totally dissatisfied with the way his front desk handles me. I have been put on hold for over 20 minutes to make an appointment. If I want to talk to the nurse, I end up being passed around for 20 minutes and either get hung up on or have to leave a message without it being returned. If I need to make an appointment I can't ever get into him for at least 2 weeks. When you have stomach issues, 2 weeks is a long time. If it is an emergency, they still say they can't fit you in. Dr. Mauk is a nice man and he seems generally interested in my condition. However, I do feel rushed when I am at his office and we still haven't been able to come up with a diagnosis. I have now chosen to go to another doctor so I don't have to deal with his front desk any longer. I wouldn't recommend going to Dr. Mauk unless you have patience for being on hold and disrespectful admins.
