George came to my house and seemed friendly enough. Long story short, he began working and I retired to my office area to work. About half way through it was obvious something was wrong. He expressed concern there was some kind of ""wax"" put on the tile and he didn't know what it was. Trying to make the story short, he finished cleaning and as the tile dried there were discolored areas in the tile. He tried a few things and kept saying this was in the tile before. I did some research on-line and found that I had terra-cotta tile. tile. It is sometimes used without a ""glaze"" and sometimes used in doors with a ""glaze."" Long story short, his cleaning process took some of the glaze off which caused some areas to look discolored next to areas which still had a glaze. Called the guy back and he came out the next day. He insisted that this was caused by general wear and tear and was there when he arrived. Everything was calm and polite until this I say, very calmly,""Man, this tile was not like this when you got here."" Dude lost it, was screaming, cursing, waving his hands, started calling me an ""idiot"" at which point I asked him to leave. At first he didn't, but then he proceeded out the door yelling and screaming. My only response was basically ""good-bye, we're done, leave now."" I went outside after he got in his truck because I wasn't sure if he would do something to my car, he so intense with rage. He rolled his window down and continued to hurl insults at me from the road in front of my house including the term ""f@git."" My only response was to keep repeating ""good-bye.""
Pros: Cheap, hard worker
Cons: No clue what he's doing, angry man who has difficulties with conflict
