Two years ago I had a large antique rug cleaned at Christian-Lorraine. I inherited the rug 20 years ago and enjoyed it all those years until my dog urinated on it. Christian-Lorraine suggested the longer cleaning process (soaking) in order to get the urine out of the rug. Figuring they were an old, established business, I agreed. My rug is now ruined. Every time I go into my living room I see more places where the fibers have disintegrated, more bare spots. Each time I leave the room with a pit in my stomach. This family heirloom is deteriorating before my eyes. For 20 years there was no sign of decay and the minute I got it back from Christian-Lorraine it began to visibly deteriorate.
