If I had to pick a favorite among this type of retailer, Family Dollar would come out on top. The quality of the items that are "off" brand seem to be better than other stores of this type.

Every once in awhile you will also find the store offering different refunds on certain products. Add this to the already low prices and you will see your bill drop for these types of items.
They carry a few generic brands that are of good quality. Check out their selection of razor blades. They have generic forms of these much cheaper than what you will find at other retailers. And they work just as well as the name brand at a fraction of the cost.
The store is small and I feel a little cramped. They try to cram too many products inside.
The cashiers are friendly and helpful.
