LBG is one of those overwhelming lighting stores on the Bowery, but there is almost nothing they don't have or can't get. I was directed to work with Cliff Starr by my architect. I chose to do all the purchasing myself for a major NYC combination/renovation and we needed a lot of lighting for our project. Cliff is an amazing resource, wildly knowledgeable, and an incredible value add. To be perfectly honest, I price shopped most every item I bought, probably hundreds of line items for the project (not just lighting). After my first consult with Cliff I double checked his pricing against the web. On average LBG was even with best web pricing. At times they were a little more, and at times actually a little less. Paying for shipping for the most frugal would probably put LBG over the lowest prices available, however buying lighting for a major project is a massive endeavor, filled with technical nuances, especially for a non-professional.
