In Hawaii, we don't have a Panera Bread. We have Subway and Quiznos, of which, I've worked for both for a period of time.
Quiznos bread is NEVER baked in the store, and Subways vegetables are not cut right there. Both skimp on meat, and service isn't as efficient as that of Panera. Someone comes out and brings you your food! Chips are made right there! Apple slices aren't some Mcdonald's in a plastic bag type of chemical-ridden apple, but fresh from an HEB or something or other, cut up. There's a separate dispenser for Water so it doesn't look like a light fruit punch!
Excellent service, superb food, and a lifelong customer they have made of me.
