I use to work at JL's over 20 years ago, it was one of my most favorite jobs that I have had over the years. I moved to Co after I left Ok and have not found a BBQ place that compares yet! How sad that they have closed. When I was employed there Lil and Otis Hoover were the owners and they were great people. They really cared about their employees. Although the building was old even then, we thoroughly cleaned it everynight and it was never dirty. People from all over would stop in specifically for the beans and potatoes alone!. I remember people lined up outside a 1/2 block long! The people I worked with were so awesome Patty, John, Phylicia, Mary and so many others. It was a pleasure to work with all of you!
